Come share your input with the City of Fayetteville about the exciting plans in the works for Combs Park, which will become Fayetteville’s first true river access park designed for water recreation and nature appreciation. In conjunction with river restoration efforts by the Watershed Conservation Resource Center – including removal of the Pump Station Dam on the West Fork of the White River – Combs Park will serve as one stop on what will become a “blueway” or river trail along the West Fork of the White River. The park will also be connected to the city’s active transportation trail system, making it less than a four-mile ride from the Historic Downtown Square. A public meeting is planned for January 24, 2024 from 5 – 7 p.m. outside the Ziegler Reception Room at Fayetteville Public Library at 401 W. Mountain Street.

We are reminiscing about the 'Trail Luv Day' this past Saturday at Huntley Gravity Zone. We had an amazing turn out from, fellow mountain bikers, the Lincoln Mountain Bike team to the one wheel crew and hikers! 38 of y'all showed up, and we just want to say thank you! As well as give props to Bike Rack Brewery who made this possible. They kept our volunteers fed and hydrated.

Stay Tuned for information on the next Trail Luv Day in September.

The ‘SW Bentonville Loop’ is #77 on the map above, another project that is being implemented from the Connect Bentonville Plan. This segment will connect Willowbrook Elementary, Bright Field Middle School and Fulbright Junior High School to the Bentonville Community Center and numerous neighborhoods along the route.  This greenway will be a 12ft wide shared-use paved path, with shade trees and other greenery.  This segment of greenway is estimated to be completed in February 2023!
For this project, we would like to highlight our community partners!
The City of Bentonville is making strides to implement the ‘Connect Bentonville Plan’ and managing the construction, the Trailblazers are overseeing the design and management of the project, Crafton Tull is providing the civil engineering, Bentonville School District for the use of the land, and 81 Construction for building this amazing project. Funding for the project was provided by the generous support of the Walton Family Foundation.
For full information on Connect Bentonville Plan, link in bio.
Please remember this is an active construction site, and OSHA rules apply - we will keep you posted when the project is finished!
