In Loving Memory of Judith A. Gidley

It is with heavy hearts that Community Action Connections (CAC) shares the passing of our beloved former Executive Director, Judith A. Gidley, who passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026.

For 27 years, Judith dedicated her heart and life to serving our community through Community Action Connections. Her compassion, determination, and unwavering commitment to helping individuals and families in need made a lasting difference in countless lives.

Judith was more than a leader. She was a familiar face, a passionate advocate, a mentor, and a friend to so many throughout our community. Her legacy will continue through the lives she touched, the relationships she built, and the work she cared so deeply about.

Agency Closure Notice
Community Action Connections will be closed on Thursday, October 22, 2026, to allow our staff to attend Judith's Celebration of Life and honor a woman who gave so much to our agency and community. We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to remember and celebrate her life.

In Lieu of Flowers
In honor of Judith's lifelong dedication to helping others, her family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Judith A. Gidley Family Resource Center (JAG Center), helping continue the mission of serving families in our community that meant so much to her.

Weatherization in the Community!

Yesterday, our Weatherization team had the opportunity to spend time at PUD connecting with community members and sharing information about the services available through Community Action Connections.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to get out into the community, answer questions, and help families learn about resources that may be available to them. 💙

A big thank you to PUD for welcoming our team and supporting outreach that helps keep our community connected!

We’re excited to participate in the Community-Minded Recovery Café Pasco Back to School Community Event!

💙 Community is about showing up for one another.

This past weekend, CAC was grateful to participate in The Wash, an event that gave members of our community the opportunity to wash and dry their clothes for FREE.

Sometimes something as simple as clean clothes can bring a little comfort, dignity, and relief and that’s what makes events like this so meaningful.

Our own Jessica Sagdal and Sarah Benson were there representing CAC, connecting with community members, sharing resources, and most importantly, just being present.

We’re thankful for opportunities like The Wash that bring organizations and people together with one purpose: taking care of our community and making sure people know they are not alone.

Sometimes generosity has a way of growing.

We recently had an anonymous donor offer to provide a sofa for one of our JAG units. That act of kindness alone meant so much, but he didn't stop there.

He also brought us something pretty special: a jar filled with $5 bills totaling $1,000, with the hope that we could use it to help decorate our units and transform empty apartments into safe, welcoming spaces that feel like home.

There was something especially touching about receiving that jar. It wasn't just a donation it was a reminder that someone in our community believes in CAC's mission, believes in the work we're doing, and believes that the people we serve deserve a place that feels like their own.

A sofa, a lamp, a picture on the wall these little touches can mean so much to someone starting over. They bring comfort, dignity, warmth, and a sense of belonging.

To our anonymous donor, thank you for believing in CAC and for helping us turn an empty apartment into a home.

This is community taking care of community. 💙

💙 CAC in the Community! 💙

We love opportunities to get out into the community, connect with people, and share more about the resources available through Community Action Connections (CAC).

Yesterday, Gracie, Director of our Resource center, was out doing outreach at the library building connections, sharing information, and helping make sure community members know where they can turn when they need support.
