When we broke ground on the Los Angeles Convention Center Expansion and Modernization Project a year ago, we knew that our City was heading in the right direction. Creating over 15,000 quality union jobs, adding $652 million in General Fund tax revenue over 30 years and having the ability to draw in over $150 million in additional visitor spending each year, this project represents what is possible when you have strong union leadership work with our elected officials and key community partners. These types of projects strengthen the financial well-being of our members who play a critical role in making these ideas become reality. We have only just begun.

Our experienced leadership team at IBEW Local 11 goes into every negotiation ready to do exactly that to get our members the wages, benefits and safe work environment they deserve. Division created by confusion and misinformation only hurts our process. We encourage every member to reach out to your shop steward or business agent to get the facts straight from those who know what is happening and not by others who wish to prey on your fears for their own personal gain.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON MEMBERSHIP APPRECIATION DAY**

Membership Appreciation Day is tomorrow at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone out there!

Please take a look at the attached map for parking instructions.

Parking:

- You can park in Lot 1 or Lot 2.

- The best entrance for Lot 1 is off Anaheim Street.

- The best entrance for Lot 2 is off Vermont Ave.

- If those lots are full, there will be overflow parking around the corner at Harbor College Lot 8. The address is 1111 Figueroa Pl, Wilmington, CA 90744. The best entrance for the Harbor College parking lot 8 is off L Street.

- Buses will be running around the clock to shuttle members from the overflow parking areas to the main event and back.

If you park in Lot 2 and have mobility issues, please call Alton Wilkerson 661-903-3996. He'll come pick you up in a golf cart and bring you to the main event.

Yesterday evening, IBEW Local 11 Business Manager Robert Corona was honored by Labor Community Services (LCS) with the Leadership Award at the 6th Annual Dolores Huerta Spirit Awards.

IBEW Local 11 is proud to stand alongside LCS as a partner in the fight against throughout Los Angeles County. Together, we remain committed to supporting working families and strengthening the communities we serve.

Accepting the award on behalf of Business Manager Corona was Assistant Business Manager Luis Arida, who shared that the recognition holds special meaning because it reflects the principles of social justice, service, and solidarity championed by both Robert Corona and Dolores Huerta.

We thank Labor Community Services for this meaningful recognition and congratulate all of this year’s Dolores Huerta Spirit Awards honorees.

This past weekend, IBEW Local 11 was proud to participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Plane Pull, an annual tradition in support of the Special Olympics Southern California. Teams of 25 come together on the runway with one bold goal: pull a massive airplane 12 feet as fast as possible. The funds raised through this event helps raise critical funds for Special Olympics Southern California athletes with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round sports, confidence-building opportunities, and unforgettable moments on and off the field. For an event like this, "Stronger Together" takes on a whole new meaning!
