The Woman's Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills is a dynamic group of women committed to volunteerism New members are always welcome!

General meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month September through April at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Parsippany Rescue & Recovery Building 100 Centerton Drive, Parsippany N.J. For more information please email the club at [email protected]. The club theme is SERVICE & FELLOWSHIP.

🚒🚑🚓 October 28 • National First Responders Day

When our community needs help, first responders answer the call. Today, the Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills thanks the firefighters, emergency medical personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and all who help keep our neighbors safe.

Behind every response are people who give their time, skill, and compassion—often sacrificing sleep, holidays, and time with their own families to help someone else.

💐 A very special shout-out goes to our club’s own Betsy Lowry for her remarkable 50 years of service! Five decades of dedication to helping others is an extraordinary gift to the community. Betsy, we are proud to call you a fellow clubwoman and grateful for the example of service you set. ❤️

To Betsy and all our first responders: thank you for answering the call and for the care you bring to people during some of their most difficult moments.

💙 Famous Faces, Shared Club Connections!

You may recognize their names from history books—but did you know these remarkable women were also involved in women’s clubs?

📜 Eleanor Roosevelt
The former First Lady and human rights advocate was a clubwoman, too!

🤝 Jane Addams
The social reformer and co-founder of Chicago’s Hull House was involved in the women’s club movement. She also shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931.

🎶 Julia Ward Howe
The writer behind “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” helped found the New England Woman’s Club and served as the first president of the Massachusetts Federation of Women’s Clubs.

🏛️ Margaret Chase Smith
The first woman to serve in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate was also a GFWC clubwoman!

Different talents. Different paths. A shared connection to women coming together to learn, lead, and serve.

Put on your pink and start your Sunday with purpose! Making Strides Against Breast Cancer brings our community together this morning to celebrate survivors and thrivers, remember loved ones, and support everyone facing breast cancer.

Every step is a chance to show someone they are loved, supported, and never alone. Bring your friends and family, and help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and patient support through the American Cancer Society. 🎀

🍂🍽️ Good food, great friends, and a taste of Oktoberfest!

Members of our Woman’s Club enjoyed a fun outing to Thatcher McGhee’s in Denville, where we celebrated the season with their delicious Oktoberfest menu. The food was wonderful, the company even better, and a great time was had by all!

Here’s to friendship, laughter, and making memories together. Prost! 🍻

💙 A Little Woman’s Club History… and a Lot to Be Proud Of!

When women come together with ideas, determination, and a desire to help, incredible things can happen!

📜 Did you know the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs was founded in 1894? That’s more than 130 years of women working together to make a difference!

🎓 Here’s something you might not know: New Jersey clubwomen helped open the doors to higher education for women! Their campaign helped establish the New Jersey College for Women in 1918—the institution we now know as Douglass Residential College at Rutgers. Its first class welcomed 54 students!

🤝 That spirit continues today through local clubs supporting causes, serving neighbors, building friendships, and turning caring into action.

The Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills is proud to be part of that continuing story. Every member brings something valuable, and every act of service adds another chapter. 💙
