Support like this allows our mission to keep growing—helping us reach more children and families impacted by Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) and work toward providing more life-changing Obi feeding devices to children who deserve greater independence, dignity, and joy around the table.

For some children, independence means tying their own shoes.

And for many children living with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) and other physical disabilities, independence may look like something as simple—and as life-changing—as taking the next bite of a meal on their own.

At Bowey’s Helping Hands, we believe those moments matter.

Adaptive technology like the Obi feeding device doesn’t just help children eat—it helps restore confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging around the table.

Every Obi feeding device represents so much more than technology.

This year, Bowey’s Helping Hands has had the incredible privilege of sending out our 13th Obi feeding device to a child and family who needed it.

That isn’t just 13 devices.

It’s 13 children with greater independence.
It’s countless smiles around the dinner table.
It’s thousands of moments where a child can be proud of themselves.

None of this would be possible without our amazing community of donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and supporters who believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience dignity at mealtime.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸❤️

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on sacrifice, freedom, and the people who made it possible for us to gather with family, enjoy simple moments, and build communities rooted in love and hope.

At Bowey’s Helping Hands, we are especially grateful for the gift of community and the ability to serve others with compassion and purpose. 🫶🏼

This one tool changes everything for AMC families. 💜 For many children with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC), something as simple as feeding themselves isn’t possible without help. Every meal requires assistance from a parent or caregiver - physically and emotionally.

But tools like the Obi feeder are changing that. 🙌🏻 The Obi is a robotic feeding device that allows children with limited mobility to eat independently - restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of control in everyday life.

And this is exactly what we do at Bowey’s Helping Hands. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼 We exist to support children with AMC, raise awareness, and provide access to adaptive technology that creates real, life-changing independence.

This mission may have started small - but it’s reaching families far beyond our community. 🌎
