How can children learn to share and work well with others?
Sharing is about more than giving up a toy. It helps children practice taking turns, considering other people, and working together. This week, we’ll read Should I Share My Ice Cream?, written and illustrated by Mo Willems. We’ll also play fun cooperative games that encourage kindness and connection.

Ruby’s Worry was such a sweet way to help kids understand what happens when a worry starts to grow.
Written and illustrated by Tom Percival, the story helped our Unity Kids see that talking about a worry can help it feel smaller. We also practiced simple ways to calm our minds and bodies.
Another important lesson from our social emotional learning program.

At Unity Palo Alto, we’re here to help Parents and Kids discover who they are, live confidently, navigate the stuff life throws our way, and show up in a way that makes a positive difference in the world around us.

On Sundays at 10am, adults and little ones learn about the same topic! Parents in our Sunday Service and kids in our social emotional learning program.

Everyone leaves with age-appropriate, positive, practical ideas and tools that they can work on together and talk about. So everyone grows individually and families can feel more connected.

What can children do when their worries start to feel too big?
Kids may not always know how to explain what is worrying them, but they can learn simple ways to help their minds and bodies feel calmer. This week, we’ll read Ruby’s Worry, written and illustrated by Tom Percival. We’ll also explore practical ways to release worry and practice bubble breathing together.

We loved reading I Am Stronger Than Anger, written by Elizabeth Cole and illustrated by Julia Kamenshikova.
It helped our Unity Kids understand that feeling angry is okay. They learned to notice what’s happening in their bodies, use simple tools to calm down, and choose how they want to respond.
It’s all part of our social emotional learning program for kids.
