This week’s Throwback Thursday spotlights the founding moments of our City of East Palo Alto, a poster urging EPA residents to “Vote Yes Today” in reference to one of the incorporation elections.🗳️✨

“East Palo Alto became a city by just 15 votes.” That’s the power of showing up.

Our community’s history proves that every vote matters. Generations of East Palo Alto residents organized, advocated, and fought for self-determination — and their voices shaped the future of the city we know today.

Honor the legacy of those who fought for representation and community power. Be sure to vote on or before Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Learn all about local San Mateo Country ballot measures and voting locations at: https://loom.ly/-S5bCts

Make a plan. Bring a friend. Use your voice.

Voting is more than a civic duty — it’s how communities protect their future, invest in young people, and make sure every voice is heard. Whether it’s local schools, housing, parks, public safety, or youth programs, decisions are made by those who participate.
