🚨8,914 voices were missing🚨

Let that number sink in.

In the June 2nd 2026 primary, East Palo Alto had 12,003 registered voters — but only 3,089 ballots were cast.

That means nearly 3 out of every 4 registered voters did not vote.

🚨This is bigger than politics.🚨

This is about representation.
This is about our families.
Our housing.
Our schools.
Our streets.
Our businesses.
Our children.
Our future.

We cannot ask for our community to be heard if thousands of our voices are missing when decisions about our future are being made.

Maybe someone didn’t vote because they were busy working two jobs. Maybe they didn’t understand what was on the ballot. Maybe they felt their vote wouldn’t matter. Maybe life simply got in the way.

Whatever the reason, we have another opportunity to show up.

So don’t just make a plan for yourself.

Call your auntie.
Text your cousins.
Check on your elders.
Talk to the young people voting for the first time.
Ask your neighbor: “Do you have a plan to vote?”

East Palo Alto has always been a community that knows how to stand up for itself.

This time, let’s show up at the ballot box.
