Welcome to the Wayne County Region page! Raising a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind is a real gift of love.

A puppy is not born a guide dog, but created through the dedication and commitment of an entire team of individuals. We are so much more than raisers, we are a family. Here to help and support each other to be the best raisers we can be!

🎉 Big news for Skeeter! 🐾💛

Skeeter passed his IFT and is officially moving on to guide dog training! We loved having Skeeter join our region for outings and adventures with his raiser and our regional puppy instructor. It’s been so special watching him grow, learn, and work toward this exciting next chapter.

We’re so proud of you, Skeeter, and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll do! Here’s to the next step in your journey to changing someone’s life. 🦮✨

Sunday service for this future guide dog! 🐾❤️

Learning to settle, focus, and be comfortable in all kinds of places is an important part of becoming a guide dog. Today’s lesson came with a Sunday service and a lot of good manners! 🐶✨
