Happy Fourth of July!

Did you know? In celebration of the United States Centennial in 1876, a vote was passed to raise Palmyra taxes by $200 to assist with a "proper observance" of the Fourth of July in the Village. Committees were formed, and arrangements were made for a celebration of the centennial anniversary.

We had an amazing quarterly dinner meeting of the Palmyra Kings Daughters in June with lots of friendship, food and beloved guests! Thank you to the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District Band Boosters for providing a delicious dinner for the meeting. We are always happy to see Jim McGinnis from the Palmyra Community Center who thanked PKD for generous contributions and reviewed upcoming programs. We were excited to have Polly Parker join us from out of state and share her beautiful harp musical selections and local history! PKD made a donation to PCC Summer Camp programs and to the PM Band Boosters as well as regular donations to support our local food pantries.
