Winter weather can be tough on your wiper blades. The ice, snow and freezing cold really take a toll on them, so it’s a great idea to give them a quick check now that spring is here (hello, rainy days!). 🌧️

While you’re at it, don’t forget to check your windshield wiper fluid too. Nothing worse than running out right when you need it most.

Winter can be brutal on your vehicle’s tires. For every 10-degree drop in temperature, your tires can lose about 1 PSI of pressure. That might not sound like a lot, but it adds up fast.

When your tires are low, your gas mileage gets worse. Steering can feel heavier, stopping can take longer and you’re more likely to get a blowout.

My advice: Check your tire pressure regularly this spring. Pump them up to whatever the manufacturer recommends (it’s usually on a sticker inside the driver’s door or in your owner’s manual).

And while you’re at it:
• Check your spare tire (make sure it’s actually inflated).
• Make sure your jack, lug wrench, and wheel lock are all there and ready.
• If your spare is stored under the car, test the mechanism that drops it down. You don’t want to find out it’s stuck when you actually need it.

Take 5 minutes now so you’re not stranded later. Your car (and your future self) will thank you 💪💜🛞

Shout out to the women who helped pave the way in automotive history!

Because of them and other women we have:
-Windshield wipers to see safely when it’s raining.
-Heat in our vehicles to keep us warm on cold days.
-Turn signals and brake lights to help prevent avoidable accidents.
-The foundational technology behind GPS and Bluetooth.
-Brake pad technology.

And more so much more!

⚠️ Important Safety Tip ⚠️

Clear Snow from Your Vehicle's Tailpipe to Prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

‼️ Snow blockage can lead to the accumulation of Carbon Monoxide within your vehicle's cabin, especially when the engine is idling in snowy conditions.

‼️ Remove snow from the tailpipe before starting your vehicle. In the event of an accident during snowy weather, ensure the tailpipe is clear while waiting for assistance.

💜❄️Stay safe!❄️💜

Women are less likely to get into car crashes than men, yet they are 17% more likely to die in one. They are also 73% more likely to be seriously injured in a head-on collision. One major reason is that car safety has been designed around one body type: the average man.

For decades, crash test dummies shaped vehicle safety standards, but the “female” dummy used today is essentially a smaller male model. It is usually placed in the passenger seat, rarely in the driver’s seat, and it does not reflect the real anatomy of women. This has left a safety gap that puts women at higher risk.

Now, progress is underway. The U.S. Department of Transportation has introduced the first advanced female crash test dummy built to represent true physical differences between men and women, including the neck, pelvis, collarbone, and legs. It has more than 150 sensors to measure how women’s bodies experience impact.

The DOT is evaluating this new dummy for use in the government’s five-star ratings, a shift advocates say could finally improve safety outcomes for women.

Over 10,000 women die in car crashes each year because safety tests and equipment are primarily designed to protect male bodies. It’s time to make vehicles safe for EVERYONE.

🥶 It's getting cold out there!🥶

Lets take a moment to thank Margaret Wilcox. She is the engineer who revolutionized the automotive industry by inventing the car heater in 1893. Her innovative design used the heat from car engines to warm up the passenger compartment, making winter drives much more comfortable.
