On April 24, 2026, Auxiliary Unit 15 distributed food baskets to members of our community for the fourth year in a row. This year we distributed food to almost 60 families, totaling over 220 people. After filling all of the boxes, we were delighted to have some extra groceries and donated them to Kid's Kupboard.
Thank you to all who supported our fundraising events for the Spring Food Baskets. Without your support, this project would not be the success that it is. We also thank everyone who donated food too. These donations allowed us to purchase fresh produce, meat and dairy items.
Special thanks to Frank Finn’s crew: Katarina (Kat) Colbert, Carson Grable, Dillion Finn & Kaedyn Jennings for helping deliver & load the vehicles. Snip & Clip Alaska for donating the trucks for delivery. We REALLY appreciate the help!! We would not be able to help as many without their assistance.
Thank you to Steve Riddle for helping us unload the 3 pallets (600 pounds) from Costco. You were a lifesaver!
Thank you to Stephanie Craner and Wendy Dodge, MSBSD FIT Program for assisting us again this year. Your help was invaluable!!
Last but not least, thank you to members Donna, Kim, Jenn, Jeanette, Jodi, Kim W., Wanda and Marla for assembling the boxes.
In the past years our Auxiliary Unit distributed food baskets in November and December, joining many other organizations that help the less fortunate in our community. But we all know many families can use a grocery boost throughout the year. “Because Need Doesn’t End With The Holiday Season.”
