BOOKS, BOOKS, and more BOOKS! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Most of our volunteer hours go into cleaning / stamping books! And with the spring weather comes spring cleaning! Just these last few weeks, we've had over 100 boxes of books come in.

If you have some time to spare, please consider helping us out. Anytime you give is much appreciated, and it helps keep free books in our shelves for Alaska and the world to enjoy!

Contact us through your preferred method of communication OR visit us Monday through Saturday from 1PM - 4PM. We'll give you a tour, train you, and clean a box with you!

Summer in the Parks first theme in Plants and Gardening!

Many thanks to the following members of the Valley Garden Club for their donations of plant starts to the Bright Lights “Summer in the Park” program:

Friday Storytime is going! Please see us every Friday at the Palmer Visitor Center from 11AM - 2PM!

First: Our Team for the first storytime (left to right): Gina, Linda, Deb, Meredith, Pam, Alys (Director of BLBP)

Second: Resilience is an important trait of any non-profit. Last Friday, while transporting our booth materials back to the distrubution center, the pin holding the wagon wheel fell off! Our resident handyman (Pete, director's husband + BLBP board member) used a temporary fix (paperclip) to help roll our wagon home!

We still need readers! Please contact us through a DM or comment here if you are interested. (If any children like to read aloud to their peers, they can! This would be a great opportunity to develop readings skills!)

Information:
- Please meet us at the Eagle Hotel (918 S Colony Way, Palmer, AK 99645) at 11AM.
