Rain or shine, our Summer in the Parks program prevails! Come join us next week our themes of "Trains" (Mon + Tue) and "Construction" (Wed + Thu)!

When we are rained out, we will transfer from the parks to our main hub in the Eagle Hotel (918 S Colony Way, Palmer, AK 99645). We will announce it here and put a sign in the park we would be at.

As a newly-minted Alaskan (I made through my first winter, haha), I have observed that there are two things Alaskans love: a hot cup of coffee, and a hug from their healthy fur babies (big and small).

Today, I would like to announce officially two new bookshelves in places that cater to these two loves: Cold Snap Coffee and All Creatures Veteranary Clinic, both in Wasilla! Both are curated by Dr. Calley, one of our volunteers! She cleans, stamps, sorts, and distributes books; basically does a bit of all of our regular volunteer tasks.

If you would like to help us out with any or all of these, please contact us through email / call / text / DM!

Fun nonprofit fact (warning, nonprofit jargon, haha): Every volunteer hour counted helps contribute to our organization. We can present that in our grant applications as an "in-kind donation."

These In-kind donations help to keep having free books in your local businesses and to keep having programs like Summer in the Parks and other storytime opportunites. Grant funding is what keeps nonprofits alive. Please support not just us, but all local nonprofits contributing to your local community!

As a reminder, we have a QR Code for our online volunteer form! If your interested, scan and fill this out! Every minute you spend here is as good (if not better) than a monetary donation.

Inclement Weather Plan for Rain:

Please go the the Eagle Hotel (918 S Colony Way, Palmer, AK 99645) if it rains anytime we are in Bugge Park (Monday and Wednesday).

It looks like we'll be having rain for awhile! But rain or shine, the program continues!

Hope to see you, wherever we may be!

Dinosaur Days in "Summer in the Parks" last week! Alys, our director, rode her guest T-rex, Bingo, to the parks.

Come along this week to see what's going on! Remember that we're alternating between Bugge Park and Amoosement Park. The information is one of our pinned posts on Facebook.
