The St. Louis Scottish Games and Cultural Festival is coming soon May 18th. Clan Colquhoun and the Loch Lomond Initiative will be represented by: Kara and Dave Whittaker, Michael and Denise Jones and our newest member and games competitor John Eurfurt.

The games are calling you to Manchester, MO Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Schroeder Park. Mark your calendar to join CCIS for the clan parade, highland games, entertainment and a gathering of the Loch Lomond Clans.

We share, with great sadness, the news of the sudden passing of Sean McCuin, Chairman of the Clan MacEwen Society.

Sean was known to many within our membership and across the Loch Lomond Initiative clans. His commitment to Clan MacEwen was plain to see, and he was a strong supporter of the events we have shared. He will be greatly missed.

We include below the official announcement from Clan MacEwen.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Sean McCuin RIP

We announce with great sadness, the sudden and unexpected passing of SEAN ALLAN McCUIN, devoted husband and father, Chairman of the Clan MacEwen Society, Lieutenant to the Chief of Clan MacEwen and proud Keeper of the Ancient Castle Mac Ewen.

Sean passed away on Thursday 30th April 2026 following a sudden medical emergency.

A full statement of remembrance from The Chief, as well as details of further tribute and opportunities for Clansfolk and colleagues to express their condolences, will follow in early course.

The entire Clan MacEwen Leadership and the Clan MacEwen Society, send our deepest condolences to his beloved wife Sandra, daughters Mairin and Chantelle, and the rest of Sean’s family.

Day two at the Rural Hill Scottish Festival and Loch Norman Highland Games.

Great to catch up with our Loch Lomond clans—MacFarlane, Graham and Buchanan—and also spend time with Clan Bell.

Clan MacFarlane hosted a whisky tasting in their tent.

Also good to see Clan Colquhoun members taking part with the Citadel Pipe Band from Charleston.

The Rural Hill Scottish Festival and Loch Norman Highland Games got underway today in North Carolina.

Our thanks to Keith Calhoun, Emily Kirkpatrick, and Jim and Becky Kilpatrick for hosting and representing Clan Colquhoun over the weekend.

A special moment at the Games as Jim Kilpatrick was recognised for his long-standing contribution to promoting Scottish Highland Games over the years—well deserved.

Also great to see Clan Colquhoun Piper JD Ingram down from Charleston, South Carolina.

It was good to spend time with our Loch Lomond clans—Clan MacFarlane, Clan Graham, and Clan Buchanan—over the course of the day.

If you’re in the area, come by the Clan Colquhoun tent and, if you can, join the parade on Sunday.
