📣 Exciting Opportunity for the Coachella Valley Community!

Initiate Justice Institute for Impacted Leaders training program coming to Palm Springs and surrounding areas.

This 12-week leadership and community organizing program is designed for individuals directly impacted by incarceration who are ready to build leadership skills, advocate for change, and create stronger communities. Participants will learn about organizing, advocacy, policy change, and connecting with statewide leaders and organizations working toward justice reform.

The program also provides:
✔️ Training materials
✔️ Childcare and transportation support for in-person sessions
✔️ A $500 stipend upon successful completion
✔️ Opportunities for advocacy, leadership, and community engagement

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a stronger voice for positive change in our community, this is an incredible opportunity to grow, connect, and lead.

Join us for an inspiring community brainstorming meeting where residents, local leaders, and entrepreneurs can come together to help shape a healthier, more connected future for Desert Highland Gateway Estates. Learn about opportunities for local micro and small businesses, available support resources, and access to potential micro-grants — all while helping plant the seeds for community wellness and growth.

Palm Springs City Government is hosting the Tramview Heights Specific Plan Community Workshop, and this is a critical opportunity for our community to speak up about the future of our neighborhood.

📍 James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center
480 W. Tramview Road, Palm Springs

This plan will guide land use, zoning, development, infrastructure, and investment in our area. If we want to see meaningful improvements — including the possibility of a full-service grocery store — we must advocate for the appropriate zoning and commercial allowances that make those projects legally and financially possible.

Without the right zoning in place, grocery stores and essential neighborhood-serving businesses simply cannot be built here. This workshop is where those decisions begin.
