As Indigenous Peoples' Day comes to a close, IncubatorWorks wants to take a moment to share this message from our partners at the Seneca Nation of Indians.
We're grateful for their friendship and leadership, and we honor the Seneca people, whose history and culture are woven into this land.

Pumpkin season has officially hit the IncubatorWorks Makerspace! Our printers have been busy turning out a whole patch of these little guys for a couple of community events coming up. Give one a squish and it bounces right back. Keep an eye out for them around town!

When the printers aren’t making pumpkins, they’re helping our Co.Starters graduates bring their ideas to life, from early prototypes to branded merch. We love being part of their journey long after the program ends.

Look who's in Forbes!

Our Program Director, Filomena Jack, was just featured in a Forbes travel piece on what makes the Finger Lakes such a great place for artists and makers. When she's not helping local entrepreneurs grow their businesses here at IncubatorWorks, Filomena runs her own business, Filomena Jack Studio, where she paints murals, creates art, and coaches folks through their creative journeys.

In the article, she talks about how volunteering on a couple of mural projects turned into a full blown mural career, and how this region rewards people who show up, do the work, and say yes to new ideas. Sounds a lot like entrepreneurship to us.

As a cool-climate region, the Finger Lakes is well suited to producing w**es while artists in the region appreciate the support afforded them by a number of local groups.

Last night we celebrated MAP Grant awardees, and we're still smiling about it!
These are Chemung County business owners who took a leap, put in the work, and are now growing something of their own.
The flowers on our table came from Toni Granger of Richton's Beauties. If you haven't seen her dahlias and zinnias (etc.!) in person, you're missing out. We had a cheerful conversation with Toni about her farm, and another with Sara and Nathan Emery, the founders of Wetlands Brewery, about how they got started and where they're headed. Those are the talks that remind us why we love this work.
A big thank you to Chemung County Planning for helping us produce the evening.
Congratulations to every one of the MAP Grant awardees. We're cheering you on!

Congratulations Little Clover W**e Company ! We're rooting for you!

We couldn’t let September slip by without a sweet little celebration. This month marks two years of going full-time with Little Clover W**e Company--two years since I took the leap from saying “this is my side hustle” to “this is my focus.” Two years of fostering growth and nurturing the dream, full-time.

I’m so thankful for my supportive husband and daughter--both instrumental to the success of our little company. And I am ever thankful for Cake Pan’s optimistic personality.

But most of all, I’m thankful for you--the supporters, the cheerleaders, the adventurous, wild and wonderful lovers of New York sparkling w**e. Cheers to two! And cheers to you!

We love seeing our Co.Starters grads bring their ideas to life, and this one is special!

Audrey, a graduate of our Co.Starters program at IncubatorWorks, has opened The Atelier Community Arts & Ceramics Studio at 28 Church Street in Alfred. She and her husband Ben took over the old doctor's office in the village and turned it into a bright, welcoming creative space for everyone from total beginners to working artists.

There's a fully equipped ceramics studio, private studio rentals, open studio memberships with round the clock access, and classes and workshops in wheel throwing, hand building, drawing and more. There's even a kids program and a flex space where local groups can hold meetings.

It takes real courage to open a business, and it's a joy to watch Audrey build something that gives so much back to her community. Congratulations, Audrey and Ben!
