But in reaching and training the next generation, a clear gospel must be at the center of that training.

It's a good day for a good day.

It has been determined that the small tumor on the tail of my pancreas is cancerous. The good news is, it is classified as a grade 1 slow growing tumor.(My oncologist says it is the best of the worst) Surgical removal is an option and may need to be performed in the future. As of now, Dr Macfie (a pancreas surgeon/specialist) is confident that we can place this tumor under watchful surveillance. I will monitor the tumor through scans and blood work every 6 to 12 months. If growth occurs or side effects from the tumor surface, surgery to remove it will take place. The next scan is scheduled for late September.

I am grateful that surgery is not imminent and I appreciate all the prayers and encouragement that I have received while waiting on an accurate prognosis.

There was a recent concern that cancer may have spread to a couple of bone areas. (related to my Prostate Cancer) An MRI has ruled that out. I will continue to monitor for any prostate cancer reoccurrence through blood work every three months.

It is so good not to have anything major to go through in the near future concerning these two cancers.

I count this as a win. Yes, it's a good day for a good day. God is faithful, God is good!

With love and appreciation,
Dave and Sandy

A short health update.

Last Friday I had a PET Scan to get a better understanding of the small tumor on the tail of my pancreas. I had a follow up appointment this morning.

The scan showed some new areas of concern. More tests will be conducted to obtain an accurate diagnosis and determine a treatment plan, if necessary.

Thank you for your continuing prayers.

Blessings,
Dave Mogren

Wishing you a Blessed and Joyful Christmas!

This season, may you be filled with the same wonder that the shepherds experienced in the fields of Bethlehem. The angel brought "good news that will cause great joy for all the people".
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11)

May the "glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" resonate in your heart and home throughout the holidays and the coming year.

In the joy of His birth,
Dave and Sandy

A Celebration Day!
My prostate cancer journey began in June of 2023. After a series of various tests, I was diagnosed with Group 5 prostate cancer. (the most aggressive category,) In summary, my journey has included surgery to remove my prostate, 28 Radiation treatments, surgery to address a side effect from the removal of the prostate, and 18 months of hormone therapy injections. Fatigue and hot flashes became my new norm.

Today I had my final hormone therapy injection. 👏 I will now be under watchful surveillance and have labs on a regular basis to check my PSA levels. Lord willing the cancer will not resurface.

I remain grateful to the Lord for his presence and peace through this journey and I am thankful for my loving family and friends that have encouraged me and prayed for me.

Happy Thanksgiving!Let us give Jesus praise and thanks on this day and every day. He is worthy!Blessings,Dave and Sandy

Greetings,

A short health update.

Concerning the small tumor (lesion) on my pancreas, a biopsy is not able to be performed. The location is too difficult to reach. The current plan is to have repeated MRIs every six months to monitor any growth. Each MRI will be followed up with an appointment with a specialist. My next MRI will take place in March 2026.

Concerning my Prostate Cancer:
My next treatment will be on December 17th. This will be my final treatment. Going forward, my PSA levels will then be monitored every 3 months.
Lord willing, my levels remain low and no further treatment will be needed.

Thank you for all of the encouragement and prayers during this journey.

Blessings,
Dave
