A reminder that Monday Oct. 19 will be packing day. We will be starting the Christmas packaging. Donna and Gayron will not be there however, Denise and MaryLou will be there to assist anyone willing to help out. Donna and Gayron will be putting labels on boxes today for Nov shipment and taking them to the post office on Friday before leaving town. IF you want to help, we will be at the Hugs house between 9:30am and noon (ish). That's the 2219 West Hovekamp Road address.

Yesterday we had a great day of service. We got the donations put away. Then got the boxes labeled and mailed out, Got new boxes made up towards next months mailing. Had a good time working and best of all, we know that our men/women will be smiling in just a few days when the boxes start to arrive. Thank you to everyone who makes this happen.

The Hugs Project Of Western Kentucky is our chosen September Non-profit we will be raising funds for! The Hugs Project's mission is to show love and support to our troops by providing care package items to those serving our country overseas. Every month we raise proceeds through our thrift sales. Thank you for helping us give back to the community where it is needed most!

We FINALLY heard from the last test for the cancer that Gayron "papa Ferg" has. The chances of me dying from this in the next 10 years is higher than before, but still low enough to AT THIS TIME, aggressively watch it. In other words, more frequent doctor visits to keep track of where it's going. In a year another biopsy to make the final decision. My doctor is NOT knife happy which makes ME happy LOL. He wants to do what's best not what makes the most money for him. It's hard to find a surgeon like that. Dr Spicer is a good one who happens to also be a true believer in Jesus Christ. I am still praying that God will see fit to remove this completely.

Update on Gayron "papa Ferg's" cancer. The doctor said that he recommended to "aggressively "WATCH" it and come back every 6 months to do a follow-up then biopsy each year. It's borderline doing treatment but IF it will remain as is, nothing may have to be done over the next 10 years. I'm very pleased with what we've found. Thank you to everyone who actually stopped for a few seconds to say a prayer and ask for God's intervention.

We got this letter yesterday. He wrote it in March but didn't mail it until he got home last week LOL. It is still good to hear from him and how we helped him and his unit.

From the 14th to the 24th Gayron and Donna will be out of pocket. Communications will be slim to none during this time.
