As we celebrate this day, let us also recognize the work that still needs to be done to ensure our child welfare system is equitable for all. It's Pride Month! One of our CASA Guiding Principles is that we recognize the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and 🏳️‍🌈*all*🏳️‍🌈 children should be safe, have a permanent home, and an opportunity to thrive. LGBTQ+ youth are overrepresented in the child welfare system and they need CASA volunteers who will provide empathetic, gender-affirming advocacy.
