Community Advisory

We are saddened to learn of the death of a 2 year old child in Ozone Park.

According to police, officers responded to a home near 107th Avenue and 88th Street shortly after 1:00 am Monday after receiving a report of an unconscious child. The 2 year old boy was transported to Jamaica hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. There were no visible signs of trauma and the circumstances surrounding the child’s death remain under investigation.

Something many drivers along 101 Avenue should be aware of.

The MTA announced it will be equipping the Q8 bus route in Queens with Automated Camera Enforcement, with the 60-day warning period set to begin on Monday, June 15.

Due to today’s extreme heat, the Ozone Park Pantry will be open today, Thursday, June 11. Distribution will begin at 3:30 PM.

Please do not arrive early and wait in the heat! Temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees. For your safety, we encourage you to arrive closer to 3:30 PM.

Distribution is first come, first served. We ask everyone to be patient and prepared so we can move the line as quickly as possible and get everyone home safely.
