Oh what a special blessing ACIM-Area Congregations in Ministry Food Pantry had today! Thank you so very much to the kids and leaders from First Baptist Church Academy in Creedmoor for spending some of their time volunteering with us. This special group bagged ketchup packets, frozen cinnamon rolls, snacks, drinks, health and beauty items, and household items for our distribution. Ms. Sylvia even shared her candy stash with them😍

GCS CARES Project: Granville County Public School Social Workers are excited to announce a new initiative launching in the 2026–2027 school year: the GCS CARES Project—an acronym for Clothing, Access, Resources, Essentials, and Supplies. This resource will offer students access to clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and school supplies to help meet basic needs that can impact school attendance and success. If you become aware of a student who may benefit from this support, please refer them to your school social worker. The social worker will connect with the student and their family to assess needs and provide appropriate assistance. Each month, we will highlight specific donation needs. Contributions can be dropped off at your school’s front office, county office, given directly to your school social worker or you may drop off by CCM and Becky will get it delivered for you. Donation Schedule: May/June: Laundry supplies; July: Cleaning supplies; August: Shampoo and conditioner; September and beyond: To be announced. Social workers: Christy Currin, Sara Michaelsen, & Katie Thompson

Drop off your C.A.R.E.S. items by our C.A.R.E.S. Corner just inside the CCM donation door entrance!

Congratulations to one of our student volunteers, Taylar Thorpe!! Taylar was presented with the Granville County Chamber of Commerce Student Spolight award. She is one of four Granville County students that earned this recognition for their academic performance and service with Granville County Chamber businesses. An extra special surprise as her kindergarten teacher, Jade Rachel Gingue, Past President with the Chamber, was able to present the honor. We are SUPER proud of Taylar and wish her all the best as she heads off to college in the Fall!!
