We’re gathering this Saturday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thornton Library to talk about the future of our city — from pedestrian safety and infill development to sustainable infrastructure.

Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to town, your voice matters.
💬 Let’s share ideas, set priorities, and support each other as neighbors.

City officials and candidates are welcome — and if you’re even thinking about running for office, we hope you’ll join us too!

💛 This is a positive, community-driven meet-up.

Bring your own shovel and help us make Main St beautiful!

Morning of, you’ll find plants placed in the median across from the post office and in the bulb-outs around the crosswalk. You’ll pick a plant and, well, plant it!

This is a family friendly event and all are encouraged to join!

Downtown Oxford Economic Development Corporation (DOEDC) is sponsoring this event. All plants were purchased with funds from local businesses.

Shovels, wheelbarrows and Tonka trucks for the job done today! Thanks to everyone who rotated through today to help realize the longer-term vision of the Community Garden on Sycamore street. Thanks to Dalton Mill Nursery for supplying the new fruiting vines and bushes (and the Mums!), Gardener’s for the soil, and to the for the seeds! And, thanks to the Granville County Government for the funding via their annual Parks and Rec grants!

Sunshine is in the forecast, so let’s get to work!

We will be starting at 9AM tomorrow at 312 Sycamore Street in Oxford- bring your shovels, pruners, wheelbarrows and a cheerful attitude, and help us plant the Hope House Community Garden for the Fall.

We will be there with goodies from our friends at strongarmbaking so come kick off the weekend with some cheerful service!

Our community is so blessed. Gardners Great Outdoor Services has generously donated 5 yards of soil for the garden project workday on September 28 from 9 AM to noon. Others are welcome to join in. The community partnerships are thriving. Oxford Community Action Network

Are y’all ready to get back to work? Come join us on September 28th, at 9AM, for a workday at the Hope House Community Garden and Greenway at 312 Sycamore Street in Oxford

We will be teaming up with County Cooperative Extension office to lay in some good soil and plant some quality seeds, as we will be getting the community garden beds ready for fall planting in anticipation of a late Fall/Early Winter Harvest. Bring your gloves, shovels, pruners, wheelbarrows and be ready to get to some good work.

The rumor is that our friends from will be on hand with some coffee and goodies, and plenty of good vibes, so we are guaranteed to have a great morning! See y'all there?
