My heart is full after the launch of Women United in Granville!

Bringing Women United to Granville County through Granville County United Way has been a vision close to my heart, and seeing it come to life surrounded by so many passionate, community-minded women was truly inspiring.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was our first service project. The women who attended brought diapers to support families in our community, and we are still collecting donations that will be distributed to a local organization in need. It was a beautiful reminder that Women United is about more than gathering togetherโ€”it's about making a real impact.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and believed in this effort. I am honored to be part of this movement and excited about what we will accomplish together.

Once again, we are so thankful for our sponsors, Margier White State Farm Insurance agent and Altec Inc. who helped make this event a success!

If you'd like to learn more about Women United, get involved, or support our diaper drive, please visit our website and complete an interest form.
We'd love to have you join us in whatever capacity youโ€™d like - member, investor, donor, volunteer, etc.

Granville County United Way is proud to support local youth by sponsoring three youth to attend summer camp at the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, build friendships, and create lasting memories through enriching summer experiences. We are grateful to the Boys & Girls Club for providing a safe and engaging environment where young people can thrive.
The Boys & Girls Club is always in need of volunteers, welcomes food donations, and offers opportunities to sponsor youth participation in their programs. Community support in these ways helps ensure their important work continues.

Working together, we can continue to invest in the future of our communityโ€”one child at a time. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ

A heartfelt thank you to Sally & Georgia for coming out to support GCUW at our Annual Meeting on yesterday.

Sally and Georgia (our Mission Advancement Director and Intern, respectively) got to spend some time with Cortney, Executive Director of Granville County United Way for their Annual Meeting and Recognition Luncheon!

Cortney and guest speakers showcased how GCUW and partners are supporting county residents in literacy, food access, and all around collaborative efforts to help residents thrive.

And previous Executive Director, Brenda Dickerson-Daniel, was surprised with an award in honor of her decades-long dedication to her community!

This , we remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed. Those who have left and never returned. The mothers and fathers who mourn. The children who carry stories instead of hugs. The folded flags and the empty chairs.

We honor them not just in silence, but in how we live, serve, and show up for every person in every community.

United is the way ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ. To rise. To give back to others so all have the opportunity to thrive.
