September 11, 2001 — We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, Kids Building Michigan pauses to remember and honor the thousands of innocent lives lost on September 11th, and the countless families, friends, first responders, and communities forever changed by that day.

We remember the courage of those who ran toward danger while others were running away. We remember the tireless search-and-rescue efforts, the long days and nights at Ground Zero, and the people who never stopped working to bring hope out of unimaginable loss.

As an organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation of skilled tradespeople, we also recognize the trades that helped America clean up, restore, and rebuild.
From heavy equipment operators and laborers clearing debris, to ironworkers, electricians, plumbers, welders, carpenters, masons, engineers, truck drivers, and countless other skilled professionals — the hands and expertise of the trades became an essential part of moving forward.
When something is broken, someone has to rebuild it.

That is the heart of the skilled trades. They show up when the work is difficult. They work together when the challenge seems impossible. And they leave behind something stronger than what was there before.

Today, we honor those who were lost.
We honor those who responded.
We honor those who served.
And we honor the people who helped rebuild.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸
September 11, 2001 — Remember. Honor. Rebuild.

THIS LABOR DAY, WE’RE THANKFUL FOR AIS EQUIPMENT!

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the hardworking men and women who keep Michigan building, growing, and moving forward — and we’re especially grateful for organizations like AIS Equipment that are helping introduce the next generation to the skilled trades.

AIS Equipment goes above and beyond to support Kids Building Michigan, donating mini excavators that give kids the chance to climb in, get behind the controls, and experience what it’s like to operate real construction equipment! 🚧

But the learning doesn’t stop there. AIS also brings information about trade school opportunities, helping families and kids learn more about the education and career paths available in the equipment and skilled trades industries.

What better way to celebrate Labor Day than by inspiring the workers, builders, operators, and skilled professionals of tomorrow?

Thank you, AIS Equipment, for investing in kids, supporting skilled trades education, and helping us build Michigan’s future — one young builder at a time!
