SONshine park SONshine Park is a fun enviroment for children to learn and grow in the word of God. The program runs during Oakwood Community Church Sunday morning service.

today at sonshine park, we had 49 kids!! there were many new people. the kids learned about trust today. we did an activity, in which kids leaned on each other to stay behind a line, which got further and further apart.

Our next family event is set for Feb. 13th at Seymore Lake Park. We will be sledding on the hill. Bring family and friends to this FREE event. We will have Hot Chocolate and some refreshments.

We are starting our February unit of "Best Friends." Bruce & Lowell will be the large group leaders. Let's get this unit started.

The theme starting this month is God's Cornerstone Construction. The kids learned about the birth of Jesus Christ. Thanks, leaders.

SSP now has a teen drama team called "The Players." Travis Moore, Mitchell Gleason, Grant Gleason & Andrew Grant so far. Most of them have already been in two drama's for this unit. Thanks....

It has been a GREAT last two weeks in SSP. The children have been pumped up during Praise & Worship, and the 2 large leaders have been awesome. Shout out to Lowell and Bruce.

Get ready for our November SSP Family Activity- An Adventure Hike Nov. 14th 2:00pm Powell Lake – We will meet @ OES next to Oxford Library. Don’t miss this one, it's going to be an adventure.

SSP October Family Activity was a great success; we were blessed with a great day & a huge turnout. I lost count of how many people were there somewhere after 50. It was great time of fellowship, and fun for all.The kids & some adult had their faces covered in powered donuts in our powered donuts eating contest. Look for the photos coming this week on the bulletin board and on the overhead during the announcements.

THE BIG DIG
We were digging it at SSP this morning with our BIG DIG theme. Digging into God's word that is and the promises God has made for all of us.

We can trust God in everything. Awesome job Team Two, keep up the good work. GOD IS GOOD.

Thank you to all who came out for our 1st Family Activity of the year. The kids had a great time playing on the playground and 4 games of Tug of War. We even shared snacks with strangers. Hope to see you all on Oct. 10th.
