If anyone has like new or new designer purses just sitting in their closet, consider donating them to a good cause, a fundraiser to pay down our outstanding vet bill.

We have an outstanding vet bill at a DE vet and we don’t reveal the name of the vet because they can’t offer the option to pay later to everyone. We had multiple complicated operations, hospitalizations, boarding etc and even with all the payments we made so far and discounts, it adds up fast. We don’t shy away for rescuing dogs with severe health problems and heartworm positive. Our FIV positive cats that are not adoptable still need treatment.

Even with a monthly payment of 1000.00, we are not on track to pay off this bill by December 31 which is our goal.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the kind-hearted individuals who generously donated to Rainy’s bilateral TPLO surgery a few months back giving her a second chance at a happy life. She has fully recovered.

One may wonder why invest over 6K, which had to be charged to a credit card, on a rescue dog who may be overlooked by adopters due to her breed and age. There are countless reasons, but the most profound one is that our beloved Rainy has endured immense suffering in her short life and deserves to be treated like royalty by her fosters.

And because Rainy embodies pure magic….

We need volunteers to help with events and supplies organization and pick up. If you submitted an application before please let us know. We are very short handed and most of our coordinators and fosters too and kitten season has been relentless as always.

For the events, we need someone to assist with sometimes storing event supplies, setting up and breaking down. Interact with the public and promoting our dogs and cats.

Thank you, we order two packs.

We are in urgent need of this formula for Phoebe, as it is the only product her fragile system can tolerate.

We have a prescription but have been unable to locate any veterinarians or websites that carry it. If anyone has information regarding where to obtain it, please let me know me.

An uplifting update on our two medical fosters. Both had appointments at Elk Creek Vet today.

Bear had his follow up vet appointment today for a recently diagnosed auto immune disorder and is making tremendous progress. The lesions on his skin are healing remarkably and he will continue on the current meds to curb future outbreaks. He is truly on the mend.

Phoebe also had her follow appointment, her vitals are good, gums pink and she still needs to be on a liquid diet for the next 4 days and gradually try a very thin slurry. She gained an ounce which is fantastic progress. Thanks for the prayers and good vibes sent their way.

We are thrilled with their progress.

In the world of animal rescue, it's not uncommon to hear the phrase 'it's just a cat' or 'it's just a dog,' but for us, every life is precious.

We have to make tough decisions, prioritizing the needs of many over the needs of one.

Recently, we rescued Phoebe and Holden, two very special kittens who captured our hearts. When Phoebe's health took a turn for the worse on Saturday , we rushed her to the emergency room where she had an overnight to get her stabilized. The testing that was done was not definitive and she is on a liquid diet.

Although we couldn't afford further testing, the vet was confident that Phoebe could return to her foster home, reunite with her brother Holden and we'll continue to monitor her condition.

We're committed to giving Phoebe a chance at a happy life, because to us, she's not just a cat – she's a beloved individual deserving of love, care, and compassion.
