The LCLEOTA would like to wish the happiest of birthdays to our own Candy Williams.

Whether she’s doing her secretary thing, fetching us all snacks, or standing behind the camera she keeps the wheels turning around here.

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is incredibly proud of Academy Director Chuck Jenkins (center), who was recognized today as a founding member of S.T.O.R.M. (Sobriety Trained Officers Representing Mississippi) at the organization’s 30th Anniversary Celebration (1996–2026).

S.T.O.R.M. has spent three decades dedicated to DUI enforcement and occupant safety across Mississippi, and Chuck Jenkins has been part of that mission from the very beginning. That kind of commitment to keeping our roads safe and saving lives is a testament to the character we’re proud to have leading our Academy.

Also recognized at today’s event was retired Oxford MS Police DepartmentDeputy Chief Kevin Stark, another Mississippi law enforcement legend whose contributions to traffic safety and DUI enforcement span decades. Congratulations, Chief Stark!

A special thank you to S.T.O.R.M. President Dillion Cates for honoring these founding members and for carrying this important mission forward into the next 30 years.
