First Students

First Students Join us every Wednesday night during the school year @ 6:15PM. Our desire is to Love Jesus and Love Like Jesus.

Join us Sunday mornings for Junior High and Senior High class @ 9:45AM at First Church in Owasso, Oklahoma. We are a ministry of First Church who hopes to reach out to students to show them the love of Jesus Christ by building relationships with them.

'Twas the Last Night of JH Camp '26

It’s hard to believe the week is already coming to an end, but today was an incredible wrap-up to our time at CYOKAMO.

We started the day with a lot of laughs—any ideas as to what's happening in the first photo? 🤔🌊—before shifting into service mode. Each camper packed hygiene kits for the Watered Gardens mission, thoughtfully selecting items and praying over the bags together. Our final group sessions were spent digging into the Bible, anchoring everything we’ve learned this week.

Tonight, the crazy packing session begins. Sleepy junior highers are heading your way tomorrow morning with a lot of stories to tell!

Day 4: Completely unplugged and fully present

One of the greatest gifts of this week has been watching these students just be kids. No phones, no screens, no constant stimulation—just real, raw fun and genuine connection.

They gathered outside for lessons with an incredible sunset as the backdrop, and ended the night worshiping inside the chapel, side-by-side with arms around one another.

Without the noise of the world distracting them, it is so cool to see how clearly they are hearing from God and how fully they are locked into these moments with each other.

Day 3: No place we’d rather be 🙌

Today was a beautiful mix of laugh-out-loud fun and intentional moments of faith. These students are making memories that will last a lifetime and building a foundation that goes way beyond this week. We are so proud of them!

JH Camp '26: Unlocked

If you’ve been wondering how our junior high students are doing, the answer is: incredible.

We are only a couple of days in, but God is already moving in a big way. Seeing new bonds being formed and watching these kids grow closer to God and each other is the absolute best part. The laughter is loud, the fun is non-stop, and we are loving every second of it!

Bags packed. Hearts changed. Missions accepted.

The last night of camp always hits different. The games are over, the canteen is closed, and the packing up has begun—but tonight, no one was thinking about the morning. Instead, this is where we found our Senior Higher's: outside in the dark, under the stars, leaning into a circle of prayer.

If you want to know what God did this week, there's no need to look beyond this right here.

Prayer Request: As they make the drive home in the morning, please pray for their transitions. Pray that the decisions made around this circle stick, that the fires lit this week keep burning bright, and that they bring the kingdom of God back into their schools, families, and friend groups.

The bags are long unpacked, the cell phones are safely tucked away in the lockbox, and our Senior Highers have officially dove headfirst into summer at Camp CYOKAMO!

HS Camp CYOKAMO is officially here and the countdown is down to the final few hours!

If you are headed to camp today, here is your non-negotiable timeline:
⏰ 12:30 PM SHARP: You need in the Student Center, bags packed if you didn't drop them yesterday, and checked in.
🚌 1:00 PM: The wheels are rolling. If you're late, you're chasing the bus to Missouri. ✌️

Double-check your packing list, grab some lunch before you get here, and let's get ready for the best week of the summer!

Hey, First Students! We're taking over First Church tonight for the ultimate Movie Night. Bring your lawn chairs, beanbags, favorite quilts, etc. and claim your spot!
