At tonight’s Bent Woods Neighborhood Meeting we talked about this fantastic survey to help guide collaboration between residents, neighborhood associations, schools, and municipal partners to support visible, community-driven improvements that make it safer and easier for students and families to walk and bike throughout our community.

We are highlighting Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods as they highlight us!

This month we are highlighting Bent Woods Neighborhood Association. We are pleased to reveal their new Logo here, as well! They have a unique name because their neighborhood has Bent Avenue running east and west through the “tree” streets: Beech, Cedar, Elmwood, Spruce and Walnut – so Bent Woods. Bent Woods Neighborhood will also be the recipient of the Rock The Block Oshkosh program this fall. This is a program of in partnership with Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods.

Congrats to our new Neighborhood Neighbors!
Welcome to the cool kids club.

Last night these neighborhood leaders received official City of Oshkosh Common Council approval of their new neighborhoods:

South Park-Rugby Neighborhood formed with the boundaries of South Park, Knapp, 9th, and Ohio -- and --
Merrill Neighborhood Association formed with the boundaries of Murdock, Harrison/Main, Irving, and the East side of Historic Jackson.

These are neighborhoods #26 & #27. We are so proud of their efforts to build community in their neighborhoods. Both are planning Neighborhood Night Out events on Tuesday, August 4.
