Ten Year Member of the Day: Mackenzie Sparks. Mackenzie is a member of the Ripley Wranglers 4-H Club. Throughout her 10 years in 4-H, her favorite 4-H project that she took was Horse and Pony and her favorite 4-H memory was participating in the water balloon fights at the end of fair week. Mackenzie plans on attending Ivy Tech in Madison for medical imaging! Good luck, Mackenzie!

🍀❤️The Ripley Wranglers were busy yesterday and today with our Show Clinic, Pitch In Dinner, Bonding Activities, Tribute Proof of Purchase Bag Cut Out, Parent Meeting and Sleepover! It was a Productive, Fun and Educational few days! Our seniors really stepped it up and helped our younger and new members learn how to properly show your horse. Great Work 4-Hers! 🍀❤️ Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and donate to our club to make it a success! 🍔🌭⭐️Extra Special Thanks to Elston’s Community Meats for donating the DELICIOUS hamburgers and brats for dinner!! 🐴🍀❤️

Ten Year Member of the Day: Bonnie Hoffrogge. Bonnie is a member of the Ripley Wranglers 4-H Club. Throughout her 10 years in 4-H, her favorite 4-H project that she took was Horse and Pony and her favorite 4-H memory was participating in the water balloon and bucket fight when she was in 3rd grade with her brothers’ senior class. Bonnie plans on attending Franklin College for elementary education and football management! Good luck, Bonnie!

Last week, the Ripley Wranglers headed up quite a few Philanthropy Projects for the Ripley County Fairgrounds. Many people don’t know this, but Ripley County 4-H DOES NOT OWN the Fairgrounds, it’s ran by the Park Manager and the Park Board.

With that being said, they had not gotten the horse stalls up, picked up rocks out of the arena, prepped the arena with a drag, cleaned the arena booth or fixed the fence on the back arena that was falling over for the Area-1 4-H Horse and Pony Show, happening this past weekend. The Ripley Wranglers 4-Hers and families were helped by the Ripley County Fair Board to get things cleaned up and in good working order, so that the show could go on and be a success!

The 4-H motto, To Make The Best Better, is what these volunteers did! They made Ripley County 4-H shine even brighter! The club is happy to help out and lend a helping hand and to make things better for everyone, because the park IS for EVERYONE! We are PROUD to have directed our efforts toward improving the Ripley County Fairgrounds! ❤️🍀🐴💪

🍀🐴🥇Day 2 of the Area-1 4-H Horse and Pony show is in the books, and WOW did our kids do GREAT!
The Committee not only awarded Macy Young with a $500 Senior Scholarship and Rylee Mitchell received Reserve Grand English Pony BUT our kids won the Area-1 High Point Championship for Contesting AND the ALL AROUND HIGH POINT CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆🍀💪🐴 What a turn out and competition for our 4-Hers!
The Ripley Wranglers would like to thank the Area-1 4-H Horse and Pony Committee and their volunteers for helped make the event safe and successful! Thanks for running a GREAT show!🍀❤️

Macy plans on becoming a diabetic educator after getting her BSN! Good luck, Macy!

Ten Year Member of the Day: Rylee Mitchell. Rylee is a member of the Ripley Wranglers 4-H Club. Throughout her 10 years in 4-H, her favorite 4-H project that she took was horse and pony and her favorite 4-H memory is beating boys in pedal pulls. Rylee plans on working in a dental office as a dental assistant and will then go to U.C. Blue Ash to get her expanded functions dental assisting certification. Good luck, Rylee!

💻 FAIR ENTRY IS DIFFERENT FROM 4-H ONLINE! FAIR ENTRY is NOW open and is due by July 8th! FAIR ENTRY is where you input the description of your projects and the Extension office will print your project tags from this. You are also expected to enroll EACH OF YOUR HORSES in at least ONE class, too!

📗 Ripley County 4-H Handbooks are currently available at the Extension Office for pick up. Indiana 4-H Horse and Pony Handbooks are also available through a Leader.

🗣️Demonstrations were given by Piper E. over properly attaching split reins to a bridle and Ashtyn P. shared her project over ocean safety and shark interactions. The Activities Coordinators then had us compete on hobby horse barrel racing! It was so fun! 🤩
💪 Work Detail followed the meeting. The Fair Board, 4-H Volunteers and RW families worked in the barn, on the fences, picked up rocks in the arena and cleaned the booth so the Area-1 committee was ready for their show this weekend!
