On November 14, cyclist Zachary Hunsinger will take on an epic challenge at Papa Chubby’s Climb in Sunrise Beach to honor a loved one and support two organizations close to her heart!

💙 TEAM GLEASON supports people living with ALS, a disease that took the life of the rider’s mother-in-law.

💛 LAKE OF THE OZARKS IDIOTS CLUB helps local children and youth living in poverty with food, clothing, school supplies, sports expenses, and other essentials. It was an organization her mother-in-law dearly loved.

This ride is more than a physical challenge—it’s a tribute to her memory and a chance to make a difference!

👕 AEROPOSTALE GIVES BACK
LOCAL STUDENTS BENEFIT! 💛

A big THANK YOU to AEROPOSTALE and store manager AJ Turner for continuing to support the Lake of the Ozarks Idiots Club! 💛

When Aeropostale has clothing it can no longer sell, the store generously donates those items to help local youth in need. Jesters volunteer Debbie Johnsen sorts the clothing by size, inspects each item, launders and mends pieces when needed, and prepares everything for delivery to school district clothing closets.

This donation of name-brand Aeropostale clothing was delivered by Debbie Johnsen to Flo Minor, Counselor at Climax Springs School, where students will appreciate having stylish clothing available when they need it! 👏

Two requests helped four students facing clothing needs during an unstable housing situation. Two Elementary-age boys needed clothing suited to their individual styles, while two High School students needed Wrangler bootcut jeans. Jesters volunteers Jeff and Kirstin Filliez shopped at OLD NAVY, KOHL’S and BOMGAARS for clothing, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Both requests were filled and delivered to Macks Creek!

A 16-year-old girl living with friends needed clothing essentials. Jesters volunteers Jim and Sherry Burke purchased 18 pairs of socks, 18 pairs of underwear, four bras and black tennis shoes. High School Secretary Christy Lively stepped in to accept the items for Brent when they were delivered today.

A Kindergarten boy needed clothing and shoes. Jesters volunteers Jerry and Jane Seifert provided five pairs of pants, five long-sleeve T-shirts, a hoodie and tennis shoes. Socks from the school’s BOMBAS inventory completed the request. Items were delivered to Jill.

A 7-year-old boy who loves Minions, dinosaurs and Minecraft needed clothing. Jesters volunteers Jeff and Kirstin Filliez shopped at KOHL’S for T-shirts, jeans, sweatpants, shorts, a hoodie, shoes, socks, underwear and pajamas. The items were delivered to the school.

22 STUDENTS. ONE STEP CLOSER TO THEIR FUTURE.

JAG INITIATION CEREMONY
Kristin Eidson, JAG Specialist at Horizons Laker Educational Center, requested assistance for 22 students needing appropriate attire for their October JAG Initiation Ceremony.

JOBS FOR AMERICA’S GRADUATES (JAG) is a nationally recognized program that prepares students for the workforce and further education while helping them discover opportunities, build confidence and find their path to a successful future.

Jesters volunteers Diane Smith, Pat Stallone, Clarice Reid, Gerry Phelan, Gary Christensen, Publicity Coordinator Krysta Christensen, Request Coordinator Mitzi Chizek, and Executive Directors Max and Kelly Fischbach joined Kristin Eidson and Horizons math teacher Kris Paschel to shop with the students at KOHL’S and MAURICES.

The boys received dress pants, shirts, sport coats, ties, belts, socks and shoes. The girls selected dress pants or dresses, blazers, accessories and shoes.

Twenty-two students. One important milestone. A community helping them look confident, feel prepared and take the next step toward their future!
