🐾 SAR K9 Padme — HRD K9 in Training

Padme spent some time tonight imprinting on an odor source! This is session number 3 of many for her! 🐕‍🦺

Imprinting is one of the foundational pieces of scent-detection training. During this stage, we’re helping Padme build a strong association between the target odor and something rewarding, teaching her that finding and staying with that odor is exactly what we want.

Every repetition helps build the foundation she’ll need as she continues her journey toward becoming a reliable Human Remains Detection K9.

Good girl, Padme! 🧡🐾

It’s CPR recertification day for OBSAR! 🚑❤️ Nothing like brushing up on lifesaving skills while one very dedicated team member demonstrates the recovery position. 😂

Always training. Always learning. Always ready when it matters.

🚨 MOST PEOPLE CAN’T FIND ALL 4… CAN YOU? 🌲👀

This photo was taken during a Search & Rescue training exercise.

Somewhere in these woods, four people are hidden.
They aren’t moving. They aren’t waving. They’re just waiting to be found.

Just like in a real search.

🧭 Your challenge:
Look closely and comment how many you can find.

⚠️ Warning:
Most people only spot one or two.

This is exactly what our Search & Rescue teams train for — learning to notice the tiny details that don’t belong in the environment. A flash of color. A strange shape. A shadow that shouldn’t be there.

When someone is lost, those details matter.

💬 Comment below:
• How many people did you find?
• Don’t give away the exact locations yet — let others try!

❤️ If this post reaches 50 comments, we’ll post the answer photo showing all three.

🌲 Want to be part of this?
Search & Rescue volunteers come from all backgrounds. No experience required — we train you.

You could be the reason someone makes it home.
