This is not a GAP clinic, it’s hosted by our friends at The LGBTQ+ Center Orlando.

Join the Barry Law OUTLAW Chapter, and SLC’s Trans Rights Director Simone Chriss, for a free legal name change clinic at The Center on Sunday April 12, 2026 at 12pm.

You will receive all of the information you need to navigate the legal name change process, and will receive assistance in completing the packet for forms required for a legal name change.

Please contact [email protected] ahead of time to let us know if you will be attending, and to ensure we have a packet ready for you. Be sure to include the Florida county where you currently live and whether you are seeking a name change for an adult or a minor.

Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of transgender and gender expansive people in our community.

At Gender Advancement Project (GAP), visibility is more than being seen. It’s about being supported, protected, and empowered to live fully and authentically.

While today is a moment of joy and recognition, we also hold space for the realities our community continues to navigate. From barriers to healthcare and legal protections, to the ongoing attacks on our rights across Florida and beyond.

That’s why our work continues every single day.

Hoy, en el Transgender Day of Visibility, celebramos la fuerza, la resiliencia y la grandeza de las personas trans y de género expansivo en nuestra comunidad.

En el Gender Advancement Project (GAP), la visibilidad es más que ser vistos. Se trata de ser apoyados, protegidos y empoderados para vivir plena y auténticamente.

✨ The award-winning documentary Alma del Desierto by EDALXwww Artists: Guerrero Films is here!

This powerful Colombian film follows an Indigenous Wayúu trans woman in her fight to obtain an ID that recognizes her as a woman.

The screening will be followed by a Community Conversation with the film’s director, visiting us from Colombia, along with a member of the local community.

Together, we’ll explore themes of identity, bureaucracy, family, aging in LGBTQ+ communities, and the invisibility of trans and Indigenous people.
