Happy American Legion Day!

09/15/2026

Happy Birthday to the Sons of The American Legion! 🇺🇸🎉

The Sons of The American Legion (SAL) was officially established during The American Legion’s 14th National Convention in Portland, Oregon, September 12–15, 1932. The organization was created to give the male descendants of eligible veterans an opportunity to honor their family’s military service while carrying forward the values and mission of The American Legion.

For more than 94 years, Sons across the country have served veterans, military families, children and their communities while preserving the legacy of those through whom they are eligible.

Today, the SAL remains an important part of our American Legion Family, standing alongside The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary in service to our veterans and communities. ❤️🤍💙

Please join us in wishing all of our Sons of The American Legion members a very Happy Birthday!
