What a fun and exciting highlight of National Night Out!

One of the evening's biggest crowd-pleasers was the Tug-of-War Challenge between the Orinda Police Department and the Moraga-Orinda Fire District. After a spirited and friendly competition, the Moraga-Orinda Firefighters pulled off the victory!

It was wonderful to see our first responders sharing laughs, friendly competition, and great camaraderie with the community.

Events like these remind us that building strong relationships can be just as much fun as they are meaningful.

Congratulations to our champion firefighters, and thank you to both the police officers and firefighters for making National Night Out such a memorable evening!

What a fantastic evening of community, fellowship, and fun at National Night Out with the Orinda Police officers, and the Moraga-Orinda Firefighters.

The Rotary Club of Orinda was proud to join our neighbors, the Orinda Police Department, and the Moraga-Orinda Fire District for this wonderful community celebration. Our Rotarians had a great time grilling hot dogs provided by Orinda Police and serving them with all the fixings while connecting with families, friends, and community members.

The best part of the evening was getting to know our local police officers and firefighters who work tirelessly every day to keep our community safe. Events like National Night Out remind us that strong communities are built through friendships, trust, and working together.

At last Wednesday's meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming our fellow Rotarian Abby Leiva, Branch Manager at BMO Bank, and her outstanding team for an informative presentation on financial planning and wealth management.

They shared valuable insights and practical strategies on saving, investing, retirement planning, and building long-term financial security. It was an engaging presentation that provided useful information for everyone in attendance.

A sincere thank you to Abby and the BMO Bank team for sharing their expertise and helping our members make more informed financial decisions.

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Orinda Police Chief Anthony Rossi and Officer C. Taliaferro as our guest speakers at the Rotary Club of Orinda.

Their informative presentation gave us a greater appreciation for the many ways the Orinda Police Department works each day to keep our community safe. We were inspired by their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the residents of Orinda.

We extend our sincere thanks to Chief Rossi and Officer Taliaferro for taking the time to share their insights and experiences with our club. We are truly grateful for everything the Orinda Police Department does to help make our community a safe and wonderful place to live.

Our 14th Annual Opera in the Park, presented by Festival Opera, was a tremendous success, drawing a wonderful crowd to Orinda Community Park for an unforgettable evening of music under the stars.

A heartfelt thank you to Zachary Gordin, Festival Opera's General and Artistic Director, along with the exceptionally talented cast, Resident Artists, guest performers, musicians, and crew for presenting a spectacular performance of The Elixir of Love. Their artistry, passion, and energy made for an evening that delighted audiences of all ages.

This cherished Orinda Rotary tradition began in 2010, thanks to the vision of our fellow Rotarian Dick Marchick, and has grown into one of our community's most anticipated summer events, bringing people together to enjoy world-class opera in a beautiful outdoor setting.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Orinda Parks & Recreation Department, our dedicated Rotarian Sue Farmer, the Opera in the Park Committee, our fellow Rotarians, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this event such a remarkable success.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who attended! Your enthusiasm and support continue to keep this wonderful community tradition thriving year after year. We look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable evening next summer!
