Last night, roughly 60 people gathered to celebrate the dedication and reveal of our Community Teaching Garden, and our hearts are full of gratitude!

We were honored to be joined by Fair Oaks Rotarians, Infinite Friends families, board members, volunteers, and community members who have helped make this dream a reality. What started as a simple idea has blossomed into something so much bigger—a place where friendships grow, life skills are developed, and our friends experience purpose, belonging, and community.

A special thank you to Betsy for planting the seed of this idea and to Nick for helping bring the vision together. Your belief in our friends and commitment to creating opportunities for them has made a lasting impact.

We also want to recognize Michael Chandler and Alyson McCann, who faithfully serve our friends every Tuesday morning. Their dedication, encouragement, and leadership are helping our garden—and our friends—thrive.

This garden has become so much more than a place to grow vegetables. It’s a place where confidence is built, friendships are strengthened, and life skills are learned.

We are incredibly grateful for the growing partnership between Rotary Club of Fair Oaks and Infinite Friends! 💙🌱

This year, through a Rotary District Grant, Infinite Friends was able to help install a wheelchair-accessible teaching garden where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn gardening skills, experience sensory exploration, build friendships, and grow in confidence and independence together.

A very special THANK YOU to Betsy and Nick for believing in Infinite Friends and helping champion this incredible project. Your support is creating opportunities for our friends to truly thrive.

We also encourage everyone to read this wonderful article from I Love Fair Oaks highlighting the partnership between Rotary and Infinite Friends and the impact this district grant is making in our community.

And the blessings continue! Last night, the Rotary Club of Fair Oaks surprised Infinite Friends with an additional $1,000 educational grant to continue expanding opportunities in our Community Garden program.

These funds will help us:
🌱 Preserve and prepare fruits and vegetables from the garden through canning, dehydration, fermentation, and food preservation projects
🌱 Create more sensory exploration opportunities with wind chimes, water features, bird baths, and interactive garden spaces
🌱 Expand learning opportunities surrounding pollinators, butterflies, beneficial bugs, birds, and nature education through bee houses, butterfly habitats, bug hotels, owl houses, and more

This garden has become so much more than a place to grow food — it’s become a place where friendships grow, confidence grows, life skills grow, and community grows.

Join us on Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 PM for our Ice Cream Social in the Community Garden! Come meet some of the Rotarians and our amazing friends who work in the garden every Tuesday at 10:00 AM helping grow produce, friendships, and life skills together. 🍦🌱

What an incredible evening at ✨ Enchanted Prom ✨

We are so grateful to have been part of such a beautiful night filled with joy, laughter, dancing, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Watching our friends shine on the dance floor and feel so celebrated was truly something special. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this evening possible—from the volunteers, parents and to every person who showed up with love and encouragement for our friends. Nights like this remind us how powerful authentic community can be.

✨ One Year of Growth — and So Much More ✨🌱

Today, on this Good Friday, we pause and celebrate something truly special…
ONE YEAR of our Infinite Friends Garden Class!

What started as a simple morning with just one friend (Carly) pulling weeds in a few unfinished garden beds has blossomed into something full of life, joy, and community. Today, we welcome around 12 friends each week—growing vegetables, flowers, confidence, and friendships together. 💛

We are incredibly grateful for Alyson and Michael, whose leadership, heart, and dedication have helped this program flourish every Tuesday at 10am. Their love for our friends and passion for the garden has created a space where everyone can grow—inside and out.

As Michael shared so beautifully:
A space once filled with weeds and potholes has now become something vibrant and life-giving. 🌿

And what a season it has been…
Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Fair Oaks Rotary Club, our garden has been transformed in just the past couple of weeks! With new fencing, accessible pathways, raised beds, a greenhouse, and so much more—this space is now more welcoming and inclusive than ever before.

Even more special—this garden is changing lives. One of our friends recently started a job at Green Acres Nursery in Folsom… proof that what’s happening here is so much bigger than gardening. 🌱

On this Good Friday, we are reminded that growth often starts in the unseen places… and through love, care, and faith—new life begins. ✝️

Here’s to many more years of planting, growing, laughing, and learning together.
