During the first week of September, Memphis is usually still feeling a lot like summer.

Typical conditions:

🌡️ Daytime highs: around 89-90°F (32°C)
🌡️ Nighttime lows: around 69-70°F (21°C)
☀️ Mostly sunny to partly cloudy days are common.
💧 Humidity is often fairly high, so it can feel warmer than the actual temperature.
🌦️ Afternoon thunderstorms are possible, though they are usually hit-or-miss rather than all-day rain. Historical averages show about 0.09-0.10 inches of rain per day in early September.

Overall, the first week of September is typically hot, humid, and summer-like, with warm evenings and plenty of sunshine. Temperatures usually don't begin a more noticeable fall cooldown until later in the month.

If you're visiting, lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and a small umbrella for pop-up storms are good ideas.
