Dr. Soon Lee is competing in a triathlon next week on November 1 and has chosen Grandma’s House of Hope as the beneficiary of his fundraising efforts!

Soon did not have to do this. He chose to. And that kind of generosity speaks volumes about his character and his heart for this community💜

Our CEO and Director of Housing were honored to be invited by our friends at RiseHyre to their Fundraiser Dinner last week. The evening was a meaningful celebration of growth and employment success.

A special thank you to Scott Green for his leadership and vision that continues to open doors of gainful employment for our participants. A job is more than income. It’s a grounded foundation for everything that comes next.

RiseHyre’s mission of empowerment through employment runs parallel to everything we believe in at Grandma’s House of Hope. We’re so grateful to call them partners 💜

We are still buzzing at Grandma’s House of Hope after our first-ever Graduation Celebration on October 9th. Our hearts are full. Many of our graduates had tears in their eyes as they crossed the stage in their caps, gowns, and Grandma’s House of Hope sashes, and the whole room cheered for each of them.

It was wonderful to have the community join us, in person and virtually, to celebrate the courageous men and women who chose to change their lives and trusted us to guide them toward long-term stability.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the partners and sponsors who made this night possible. Most of all, we are thankful for our graduates, who are the reason this celebration exists. Every one of them walked a path that others helped pave.

For our graduates, those people are their friends, family, and our team. For us, they are our board of directors, donors, volunteers, and supporters. To all of you, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Planning our first ever Graduation Celebration has been no small feat. We truly would not be able to plan such an event without the selfless generosity of our friends at Friends Church Orange.

Within seconds of hearing about our celebration event, Kyle and Holiday Zimmerman stepped up without a single moment of hesitation and volunteered their beautiful Friends Church space to make this whole thing possible. We are beyond grateful 💜

Our graduates have worked so hard to get to this moment and we can’t wait to celebrate their wins with them and the community. Because of the Zimmermans and Hub OC, our graduates will be celebrated the way they deserve!
