Join us for an important conversation on how our community can navigate the challenges of anti-Muslim hate, surveillance, and evolving polices that continue to impact the lives of American Muslims more than two decades post-9/11. This discussion will focus on how we can move beyond self-protection to actively build relationships with our neighbors and develop leaders within our community.

In a recent op-ed published by Al Jazeera English, CAIR-LA Communications Manager Enjy El-Kadi discusses how known bigot Ben Shapiro’s new movie, titled “Run Hide Fight: Infidels,” recycles decades-old anti-Muslim and anti-Arab tropes and repackages them to target Palestinians, Muslims, and their allies for criticizing Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Former Israeli operative and anti-Muslim extremist Mosab Hassan Yousef was invited to the recent Jewish American Summit in Los Angeles, where he made blatant anti-Muslim remarks on stage that were met with applause from the audience.

The event was sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish National Fund, and other major pro-Israel groups.

CAIR and CAIR-LA call on the summit's organizers, sponsors, and participants, including Ambassador Mike Huckabee, to apologize for platforming known anti-Muslim extremists and denounce Yousef’s remarks and all anti-Muslim hate.

Take Action: Tell Governor Gavin Newsom To Officially Make Eid a State Holiday

Thanks to your advocacy, CAIR-CA’s Eid Bill (AB 2017) is at the finish line—but we're not done yet! As anti-Muslim hate continues to rise across California, the governor needs to hear from the Muslim community now more than ever.

AB 2017 is a landmark bill that would recognize Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as official California State Holidays, and authorizes K-12 schools and community colleges to close for Eid through negotiated agreements.

This is a major victory, but we need your help to ensure AB 2017 is signed into law.

Visit bit.ly/yes-ab2017 to tell Gov. Newsom to officially make Eid a state holiday!

Action Alert:
Urge your lawmaker to vote ‘yes’ on AB 2551 and protect students’ free speech rights on California college campuses

Following campus protests over the past two and a half years, California State University (CSU) administrations instituted expanded Time, Place, and Manner (TPM) policies. These restrictive regulations were implemented with zero consultation from student government or faculty associations and effectively made peaceful protest nearly impossible on campus.

CAIR-CA is co-sponsoring Assembly Bill (AB) 2551 to ensure TPM restrictions are equally enforced across the CSU system. Thanks to your advocacy, the bill has successfully advanced through the legislative process and awaits a final vote from the State Assembly. If passed, AB 2551 will head to the Governor's desk.

Visit bit.ly/yes-ab2551 to urge your lawmaker to vote ‘yes’ on AB 2551 and protect students’ free speech rights on California college campuses.
