Career Fair day at the Corps! πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸŒ³πŸš’πŸ”₯πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈ

Our Corpsmembers connected with recruiters and community partners from a wide range of industries to learn about job openings, education pathways, and career opportunities. At the Orange County Conservation Corps, we work directly with our Corpsmembers to connect them with valuable resources, hands on support, and opportunities that help them take the next step toward their goals.

We’re extremely grateful to everyone who came out. Including representatives from several branches of the military, CAL Fire, culinary schools, car dealerships, OC Parks, and more! Thank you for investing in our Corpsmembers and their futures.

2026 Project of the Year Award Partner! Following the devastating Eaton and Palisades Fires in January 2025, which claimed over two dozen lives and destroyed 16,000 structures in Los Angeles County, the OCCC collaborated with various state agencies along with California Conservation Corps, LA Conservation Corps, Conservation Corps of Long Beach, San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School & Community Services Employment Training - CSET to assist in recovery efforts. Over several weeks, more than 70 Corpsmembers and 11 staff focused on stabilizing burned hillsides to reduce flooding and debris-flow risks, and protect nearby communities. They installed erosion-control systems, removed debris, and cleared storm drains. Prior to deployment, Corpsmembers underwent extensive training, including HAZWOPER certification and OSHA safety courses. This coordinated effort resulted in significant achievements: over 82,000 linear feet of straw wattles installed, thousands of sandbags placed, storm drains cleared, hazardous trees removed, and nearly 200 structures protected, highlighting OCCC's reliability in emergency response.
