Thank you Marshall Butler for joining us at our weekly meeting today. Marshall shared some great insight into the future of Rotary and all that we are doing together locally, throughout Florida, and internationally.

Marshall Butler is our Rotary International Zones 33/34 Director-Elect (beginning July 1, 2026). He is past president of the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL, USA. He served as District Governor for District 6970 (Northeast Florida) in 2016-17. From 2020 to 2023, he was the Zone 34 Rotary Public Image Coordinator, where he developed a structured methodology to help clubs and districts strengthen their public image through a series of monthly webinars and strategic action items.

Marshall has played a significant role in Rotary leadership, serving three times as Production Chair and twice as Program Chair on the Zones 33-34 Executive Committee. He has also held multiple leadership positions on the Rotary Florida PETS executive team and served as Lead Facilitator for Rotary International’s Global Support Seminar.

Congratulations to Evan Davies of Orange Park High School as the recipient of the scholarship offered from the Rotary Club of Orange Park and the Rotary Club of Orange Park Sunset through this year's Clay Can Dance competition.

This award congratulates the recipient’s academic achievement of graduating 9th in his class with a 4.5 grade point average and over 1000 hours of community service. We wish him continued success at the University of Florida where he plans to major in engineering.

Congratulations to Terrick Moore of Orange Park High School who received the Rotary Club of Orange Park's Service Above Self Award and scholarship.

This year’s recipient was chosen because he consistently demonstrates a selfless commitment to helping others. He is always willing to lend a hand - whether assisting classmates with their studies, organizing classroom materials, running errands or even making new students feel welcome and guiding them to their classes. He is a student-athlete who challenges himself with advanced courses and serves as a role model in the classroom. In all aspects of student life, his actions reflect his genuine commitment to putting others first.

We are confident a student such as this will continue to be a change agent
for good in the world.

Mercy Support Services update - Clay County nonprofit expands supportive housing as families struggle with rising costs

As housing costs continue to rise across Northeast Florida, one Clay County nonprofit says more families are finding themselves on the brink of homelessness often after a single financial setback.
