Hello NFGPA Members!

Here's a question from your new Communications Chair, Amber:

If someone offered to invest in your grant career... would you say yes? Good. Because that's exactly what's happening.

The 2026 North Florida GPA Scholarship Program is officially open, and whether you're looking to become a new GPA member, renew your certification, earn your GPC, attend GrantSummit, or just need a little financial help to keep growing professionally, there's likely a scholarship with your name on it.

This year we're offering scholarships for:

New GPA Membership

Membership Hardship Assistance

GPC Certification Exam or Renewal

GrantSummit Registration (in-person or virtual)

The only catch? You have to apply.

Applications are due Thursday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m. Simply complete the application sent to you by email and return them to [email protected].

And because great professional communities don't happen by accident, scholarship recipients agree to give back 10 hours through volunteer service with NFGPA over the following year. It's a small investment that helps strengthen our chapter—and your professional network.

Notifications will go out by Friday, August 28th. For GrantSummit Awardees, we will reach out to you immediately, as we'll need to register you for the conference before September 1st.

Don't assume someone else is more deserving. Let the application process decide that.

Take the shot. We'd love to celebrate your success!

-Amber

Good morning, Grant Professionals!
We'll need to postpone the panel previously scheduled for 5/21 due to scheduling conflicts in getting panelists together. The Board will offer some options via Poll through email to see what works best in June or July. We'll also be adding a coffee & chat to the summer schedule to discuss Grant Readiness best practices & share resources. Look out for that invite shortly!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

President's Note:

Good afternoon, Grant Professionals!

There have been some changes to leadership that we wanted to share. Our former President, Megan Covey, moved to the Carolinas for a new chapter in her life-we will miss her! I have moved to the President role, while covering Communication Chair responsibilities on this platform. Tyler Winkler remains our Treasurer; however, she is taking some time off so Aline Bailey, our Secretary, will be a dual member until Tyler returns, while handling Communication Chair responsibilities on the LinkedIN platform. Grant Professionals are always multi-taskers :).

We are excited for past President Dae Lynn Kennedy to assume the role of Scholarship Chair, and Becky Howard remains our Membership Chair. Quite a group!

I am looking to fill the role of Vice President, my former role, as well as the Communication Chair role. If you have an interest, please send me an email personally at [email protected].

We hope you'll come say hello in person at our next event, the member trip to Feeding Northeast Florida on April 17th for some fellowship through volunteer service. We've attached a flyer-please reach out with any questions!
