We’re so excited to launch our BASCA Supper Club!

The BASCA Supper Club is a unique opportunity for members of the community to connect with our residents by sharing a meal together in one of our group homes.

Your group, family, or church purchases or prepares a meal off-site, then brings it to the home ready to be served. If your group plans to eat alongside our residents, we simply ask that you bring enough for everyone.

More than just a meal, the Supper Club is designed to build meaningful, lasting relationships between our residents and the broader community—creating connection, understanding, and natural support systems. It also helps BASCA offset rising food costs while enriching the lives of those we serve.

We’re working hard to get in some training walks (& rolls!) before the BASCA CapeABILITIES Run, Walk, & Roll in just three weeks! We’re enjoying our time exercising next to the beautiful St. John’s River.

The race course through old Orange Park is wide, flat, and mostly shaded, so is perfect for our all-abilities event! Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome to join our runners and walkers. We hope you’ll join us for the fun!!

There’s only one week left to register in order to guarantee your t-shirt… don’t miss out! (We’ll still welcome walk-up registrations that morning, but the line can get long so highly encourage signing up ahead of time!)

🏃‍♂️ 👟 We’re up to 20 teams and counting!! We’ve got a competition happening between our four houses (bold, blue text below) - and the house that fundraises the most will win a traveling trophy! Give them a boost by donating to their team pages, on the main BASCA site, or drop off cash/check to the office.

Our 2025 CapeABILITIES Run, Walk, & Roll was incredible, thanks to our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. We’re so excited about this year’s event- don’t miss out! Sign up by 9/12 to guarantee your t-shirt!

Every dollar raised from sponsorships, registrations, and donations goes towards funding a wheelchair-accessible van. We’re growing and we need to add to our fleet so we never have to turn away an individual in need of transportation.

172 people are already registered for the 2026 BASCA CapeABILITIES Run, Walk & Roll, and now we have our sights set on our next big milestone:

200 PARTICIPANTS!

That means we need just 28 more people to get us there!

We’re closing in on 150!

Close to 150 runners and walkers are already signed up for this year’s BASCA CapeABILITIES Run, Walk & Roll - and we still have a month to go!

Even better, we now have 17 running teams getting ready for race day! Friends, families, businesses and community groups are gathering their people, and we LOVE watching those teams grow.

Thank you to everyone who has registered, started a team, invited a friend, shared a post or helped spread the word. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we have plenty more to share as we get ready for September 26!
