❤️ WHY WE’RE FUNDRAISING

Fern and Ivy’s Cat Haven is a small 501c3 nonprofit rescue with a whole lot of cats depending on us. Every day brings more expenses, from routine veterinary care to unexpected medical emergencies.

We are doing everything we can to give these cats the second chances they deserve, but we simply cannot do it without the support of our community.

Please comment below with what numbers you would like, and how you sent your donation. Each entry is a $10 donation, or three entries for a $25 donation, etc.

If the number (s) you chose is already taken, I will put you down for the next available number(s).
When all the numbers are full, I will be going Facebook live to pick a lucky person from a random number
selector.

💕 MEDLEY IS HOME!! 🏡

Our sweet little Manx girl was picked up today, and we’ve already gotten some wonderful updates from her new family!

Medley is still exploring and getting comfortable in her new surroundings, but she’s already giving big purrs and has even started playing a little!

Her new mom says she’s being a little cautious around the kids, which is completely understandable, but she’s curious and doing really well so far!

And remember that resident kitty we mentioned who can be a little picky about newcomers? Well, apparently he’s been hanging out at the door chirping at her! 😂

Of course, they’re taking introductions slowly and giving everyone plenty of time to adjust, just as they should.

But I absolutely loved getting this message from her new mom:

“So far so good! My boys and I are smitten!”

That just makes my heart so happy!!

I also want to give a huge thank-you to Medley’s foster mom, Paige Powers, for all the love, patience, and care she’s given this sweet girl. Medley wouldn’t be where she is today without you, and I appreciate you so much!

And thank you to Amanda Dunnigan and her family for opening their hearts and home to Medley and being willing to give her all the time she needs to settle in.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything continues going this well! 🤞

Happy first night in your new home, sweet Medley!

🧡🐈‍⬛ What a wonderful evening at The Campus Academy! 🎃🍂

First, I want to give a very special thank-you to Heather Howell and The Campus Academy for reaching out and inviting Fern and Ivy’s Cat Haven to be part of this event and for so generously sponsoring our vendor fee! That was such a thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to be included!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! We met so many new people in the community, including LOTS of fellow cat lovers, and just had a blast!

We sold lots of merchandise, received donations for our rescue, handed out almost all of our candy and little surprise bags, and loved seeing all the adorable costumes and smiling faces!

And to everyone who stopped by our booth, purchased merchandise, made a donation, asked about our rescue, or simply stopped to say hello, THANK YOU! Every bit of support means so much to us and helps us continue caring for the cats and kittens who need us.

We are so grateful for all the new connections we made and for such a fun evening with our community. We can’t wait for the next one! 🐾🍁

🧡 FROM UNTOUCHABLE TO LOVING PETS — TIMMY’S AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! 🧡

Y’all remember Timmy?!

Timmy spent years living outdoors, being fed and cared for by the same wonderful caretaker. But there was one thing about Timmy — he would NOT let anyone touch him! Not even the woman who had cared for him all those years.

We knew Timmy needed a special home where he could be himself, so we found him a wonderful barn home with his new mom, Brenda Kay. ❤️

Well, I got the BEST update today!

Timmy is absolutely THRIVING! He’s had his vet checkup and vaccinations, settled into his new environment, and here’s the part that made my heart so happy…

HE’S LETTING HIS NEW MOM PET HIM!! 🥹🧡

The same boy who wouldn’t let anyone touch him for years is now learning to trust and enjoy affection!

This is exactly why finding the RIGHT home for each cat is so important. Not every cat needs the same kind of home, and not every cat will thrive in the same environment. It’s about understanding their individual needs and finding someone willing to love and accept them just as they are. And Timmy is living proof of what a difference the right placement can make! ❤️

Thank you, Brenda Kay, for giving Timmy the chance he deserved. Seeing him come this far makes my heart so happy! 🥹🧡

🐾🎃 We are SO excited about tomorrow, and even more excited about what’s to come!! 🎃🐾

Fern and Ivy’s Cat Haven will be joining Smoketavernandgrill tomorrow, Saturday, October 31st, for a Halloween fundraiser, and we would LOVE for everyone to come out and support us! 🧡

We’ll have a table set up with some of our rescue merchandise, and every purchase helps us continue caring for the cats and kittens who depend on us! 🐱💚

There will also be a pet costume contest at 1:30 PM, with a $50 gift certificate to our rescue merchandise for the winner! And kids 12 and under eat FREE with the purchase of an adult meal!

❤️ But I also want to share something that makes this opportunity extra special!

Smoke Tavern and Grill actually reached out to us wanting to get involved, help support our rescue, and work together on future fundraising events! They’re also going to help us get more eyes on our adoptable cats and kittens by featuring them on their website! 🐾

I cannot tell you how much it means to have a local business reach out because they genuinely want to help make a difference. Running a small rescue takes so much, and having businesses in our community willing to step up, get involved, and help us reach more people means more than they probably realize.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Smoke Tavern and Grill for reaching out, believing in what we’re doing, and giving us this wonderful opportunity to work together! We are so excited about this new partnership and all the possibilities ahead! ❤️

And to all of our supporters, please come see us tomorrow! Bring your pups in costume, enjoy some delicious food, stop by our merchandise table, and help us show Smoke Tavern and Grill just how amazing our rescue community is!

Even if you can’t attend, please SHARE this post and help us spread the word! 🧡

Stay tuned, because we’re hoping this is just the beginning of lots of wonderful things to come! 🐾🌿

🐾🧡 Look what came in today!!

The three Hide & Scratch boxes, toys, and silvervine sticks that Brenda Baker ordered have arrived!

I can’t wait to get these put together and sent out to some of our foster homes so the cats and kittens can enjoy them while they’re waiting for their forever homes. It’s the little things like this that make their time in foster care a little more fun and comfortable.

Thank you so much, Brenda Baker, for doing this for our foster babies! I know they’re going to have so much fun with everything, and I really appreciate you thinking of them. ❤️

And thank you to Hide & Scratch for having such a great program that gives people a way to help cats and kittens in rescue. I love seeing our foster babies get spoiled while they wait for families of their own!

I will update with photos soon!!
