WIN Chairs and Women In the NAACP Lee Co. Alabama-WIN,

Election Day is quickly approaching, and we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to make sure women across Alabama understand the power of their vote.

The numbers tell us that there is work to do. Now is the time for us to come together, look at where the opportunities are, and determine how WIN can mobilize women and families across our state in the remaining days before November 3.

I am asking every WIN Chair to join me Sunday evening for a special statewide WIN strategy call.

This will not simply be another meeting. We will begin shaping a coordinated Women in NAACP Voter Mobilization effort, discuss what each unit can realistically accomplish, and determine how we can move together with one voice and one purpose.

THE POWER OF THE WOMAN’S VOTE Every Vote. Every Voice. Every Community.

Please make every effort to be on the call. We do not have time to waste—and together, we can make these remaining days count.

In preparation for the election of Officers and At-Large members of the Executive Committee, the NAACP Lee County AL Branch 5038 completed the following steps per the current Election Manual:
☑Aug. 27 – Election date and time set as Nov. 24, 4-8 p.m.,
electronic voting using Election Buddy;
☑ Sept. 24 – Election of Nominating Committee;
☑ Oct. 29 – Report of Nominating Committee, nominations from the floor, and election of the Election Supervisory Committee.

Whether young or older, every first-time voter deserves encouragement, reliable information, and the confidence to make an independent decision.

Today, we pray for understanding, courage, and responsible civic participation.
