We're proud to announce our Youth of the Month for October, Damari! Damari has been attending Club for a large part of his life, but has been even more involved now as one of our Junior Staff. Damari has excelled in his role, working with our 5th & 6th grade members. He has been both a reliable part of our team, and someone our members can look up to.

Congrats Damari, we're proud of you!!!🎉🎉🎉

He is always participating in acctivities, especially those involving art and leadership. Cornell has also been a great help, as he's always volunteering to help staff with cleaning and tasks around the Club!

Thanks to the Westside Advisory Committee and the Friends of the Westside Club campaign donors, 11 Westside teens participated in the CliftonStrengths assessment and program!
Through this experience, teens discovered their natural talents, strengthened their self-awareness, and built confidence in what makes them unique. By participating together, they also learned to appreciate each other’s individual strengths and differences. We’re grateful to our community partners for helping Westside teens recognize their potential and celebrate the strengths that make them who they are.

We're proud to announce that Harmony is our 2026-2027 Youth of the Year!!!

It was a close competition, and each of our contestants had fantastic speeches, but ultimately, it was Harmony who was our winner! Making Harmony our back-to-back winner for Jr. Youth of the Year! We're so proud of Harmony and her fellow contestants for their hard work throughout this process. They spent hours honing their speech and practicing their delivery, and that time and dedication was apparent on Tuesday night!

A special thanks to Mr. Liv and our judges! The competition would not have been possible without them, and we're so thankful for the time and effort they put into it.

Lastly, I want to give a shout out the rest of our participants. Ian, Caleb, Aiden, and Raphael. Their speeches were moving, well written, and left an impression on everyone in the room!

It was a great competition that we won't be forgetting anytime soon!🎉🎉🎉
