· IOLS training will be offered at Camp Cedars October 3-4. This training provides adult leaders with practical skills needed to lead Scouts in the outdoors. Register here: https://www.scoutingevent.com/326-metroiols.

· BALOO training will be offered at Camp Cedars October 3-4. This training is an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program, and each unit requires a minimum of one BALOO-trained leader on an outing. Register here: https://www.scoutingevent.com/326-metrobaloo.

· Troop 110 North Bend invited the Webelos and AOL cub scouts for a camping trip to learn all kinds of skills! Scouts learned about fire starting, knots, axe chopping, cooking, first aid, tent building and more! Thank you to the troop scouts for hosting such a great weekend!

Leadership in action.

As she works toward the rank of Eagle Scout, Ella Williams is making a lasting impact by restoring and honoring a local Vietnam War monument. Projects like this show how Scouts develop leadership, serve their communities, and leave a legacy that lasts for generations.

• The Durham Scout Center has a bounce house available for units to reserve for recruitment or unit meetings for $50 per day. Call Member Service at 402-431-9272 to make a reservation.
