Roanoke Neighbors!
*update* we have assigned all 10 bags of candy at this time.

We love seeing all the trick or treaters in our neighborhood on Halloween. We know times are tough financially for many and it can be too high of an additional expense to purchase candy to hand out. This being said we would like to give away 10 bags of candy (two bags per person) to the first 5 people to private message us their address and we will bring you the bags of candy on Friday to hand out on Halloween.

No line, come on down!

🍂 Starting October 26 through December 4, the City of Omaha will offer six weeks of free curbside collection for paper yardwaste bags, and the material collected will be composted!

During this period, yardwaste will be collected separately on your regular collection day and stickers will not be required for paper yardwaste bags. (*Stickers are always required for bundles of brush). See details and restrictions at Wasteline.org.

🍂 Other options for excess yardwaste:
-- The Oma-Gro composting facility at 6502 S 60th Street (60th & Harrison) will accept self-hauled yardwaste from residents at no charge. Be sure to check hours and restrictions before you go at OmaGro.com
-- Yardwaste can also be placed in your black-lid garbage cart at any time of year, however it will not be composted.

*Mark your calendars*
October 24th from 9:00am-2:00pm. Fall cleanup is on its way to the Roanoke Neighborhood!

Omaha Clean up web site for additional information.
https://www.wasteline.org/general-information/fall-cleanup/

Time to get rid of old items, trash, etc. Trash trucks will be available at the Roanoke Pool parking lot. We will also be joined by our partnering Scrapers team.

🎉We are in need to volunteers to help make this event successful! If you can donate even an hour of your time, it would be greatly appreciated. We have two jobs really-one directing the traffic and one helping unload vehicles as they go through. Please see addition posts for the sign up sheet.

Fall cleanup is when Omaha residents can get rid of bulky items that don't fit in their cart. It's free and a joint effort between the City, Keep Omaha Beautiful inc., and the participating neighborhood organizations.

Oma-Gro will be open the next four Saturdays from 9am-2pm for yard waste drops during the Omaha Fall Cleanup events (10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24)
