Today Ashland Community Foundation treasurer/board member, Larry Konrade, traveled to Meade and teamed up with Casie McAtee from the Meade County Community Foundation They met with Jamie Post & Red Dye of Meade Co. who lost their primary residence in the May 2026 Meade/Clark Co. fires. Red had lived in his house for 87 years. We know there are items that can never be replaced for both Jamie & Red, but through the generous donations received so far, we were able to distribute an initial $10,000 check to them both to help replace personal belongings that were lost.

Larry also stopped by Stockgrowers State Bank- Meade branch. Darrin Golliher, Senior Vice President at SSB-Meade branch presented the ACF with a $25,000 fire relief donation.

THANK YOU to all who have donated so far! We are just getting started and our goal is to continue to raise funds for the fire relief effort in the weeks to come. You can and WILL make a difference!

As a reminder, the Ashland Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity and donations are tax deductible.

May 2026 Wildfire Relief Fund Information:

The Ashland Community Foundation is teaming up with the Meade County Community Foundation to raise funds for Meade & Clark Co. community members who have sustained losses in the May 2026 wildfires. Please see below for details on how to donate.

100% of the funds raised will be distributed directly to Meade & Clark Co. landowners, produceres, and residents impacted by the wildfires. Our volunteer board of directors are proud and honored to serve our communities.

We are praying for those who continue the arduous process of damage and loss assesment, and certainly for moisture!

A HUGE shoutout to the firefighters and first responders who have tirelessly fought these fires and coordinated emergency efforts the past FIVE days. We are thankful for you all!!!

We have been incredibly humbled by the generosity and kindness of people over the past month in the wake of the Ranger Road Fire.

It's not too late to donate! We are still accepting donations. Today, we received $5,000 from ITC Great Plains (ITC Holdings Corp.)!

We continue to pray for those affected locally and for our neighbors to the north in Nebraska who are suffering similar losses.
