Ashland Community Foundation

Ashland Community Foundation ACF promotes philanthropy and serves as a catalyst for local giving to local nonprofit agencies and organizations.

The ACF was established in 1996 and is led by a nine member Board of Directors, made up of volunteers and community leaders who have deep roots in the Ashland Community. The Board determines operating policies and reviews grant requests. They will focus on helping you leave a legacy in Ashland!

📣Special Announcement!

We’re excited to partner with the Kansas Leadership Center to develop a strategic vision for the future of Ashland!

Much like the community meetings held in 2012, we’re taking a fresh look at where we’re headed and what the next 10 years can look like for our amazing community. But we can’t do it without YOU!

Over the next four months, we’ll be hosting a series of four community meetings to gather ideas, hear your perspectives, and create a shared vision for Ashland’s future. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just recently made Ashland home, your voice matters.

📅 Meeting Schedule:
(Please see the dates and times below.)

Our first meeting is Monday, August 24, and it’s coming up quickly! We hope you’ll join us, share your ideas, and help make Ashland an even better place to live, work, and grow.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Reminder: There is still time to donate to the Ashland Community Foundation for those affected by the May fires in Meade and Clark county. Fire relief applications for those affected by the fire are due 8/1/26.

We’d like to give a special shoutout and THANK YOU to Scheels (Wichita, KS)!

The SCHEELS Gives Back Program is a community initiative designed to put the power of giving directly into the hands of our associates. This is a company-wide effort rather than a program limited to just a handful of selected employees; on a local level, every single full-time associate hired as of January 1 of the current year is eligible to participate. Each eligible associate is provided with a $500 gift to donate to a local charity, non-profit, or individual in need of a helping hand. The goal is to allow our team members to personally identify and support the causes, organizations, and neighbors making a real difference right here in our community.

The Wichita SCHEELS associates that have donated to the Ashland Community Foundation thus far are: Braton Kay, Emily Berryman, Evan Bennett, Drew Ellis, and Danica Alexander. They are pictured below with ACF treasurer, Larry Konrade.

Thank you to all of our prize sponsors for the 2026 Lucky Duck!! We appreciate your continued support in helping make Ashland the best place to live!

We had a great turn out this year for the duck race. For every duck sold, the ACF donates $1 to the Ashland Fire Dept. Total ducks sold: 1,324!

Congrats to all the winners!

Funds raised go into our Grow Ashland Together Fund, which is then granted right back into the Ashland community.

We hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July! God Bless the USA! 🇺🇸

Today Ashland Community Foundation treasurer/board member, Larry Konrade, traveled to Meade and teamed up with Casie McAtee from the Meade County Community Foundation They met with Jamie Post & Red Dye of Meade Co. who lost their primary residence in the May 2026 Meade/Clark Co. fires. Red had lived in his house for 87 years. We know there are items that can never be replaced for both Jamie & Red, but through the generous donations received so far, we were able to distribute an initial $10,000 check to them both to help replace personal belongings that were lost.

Larry also stopped by Stockgrowers State Bank- Meade branch. Darrin Golliher, Senior Vice President at SSB-Meade branch presented the ACF with a $25,000 fire relief donation.

THANK YOU to all who have donated so far! We are just getting started and our goal is to continue to raise funds for the fire relief effort in the weeks to come. You can and WILL make a difference!

As a reminder, the Ashland Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity and donations are tax deductible.
