The Rotary Club of Omaha meets Wednesdays at noon at the Field Club of Omaha. Visit our website at www.omaharotary.com for more information.

Weekly Meetings: Our club meets every Wednesday at noon, at the Field Club of Omaha. Cost of lunch is $13; no lunch is $3. Meetings consist of lunch, song, invocation, annoucements, introductions, fines and a speaker. Fines: Rotarians in the news are acknowledged and fined--the money supports our community service projects. Meetings adjourn between 1:00 and 1:15 PM. "If you gotta run, please leave us one" (Leave a $1 fine if you leave early)

🍹 Let's talk about the Moscow Mule! 🍹
Despite the name, this classic isn't from Moscow at all — it was born in Los Angeles in 1941! 🌴 A vodka salesman and a bar owner stuck with too much ginger b**r teamed up to create a new drink, and served it in a signature copper mug to make it stand out. The rest is cocktail history. 🥂
At Mac & Mules, we're putting a Nebraska spin on it with mules made from local spirits from [local distillery]. Vodka, ginger b**r, fresh lime, and a whole lot of hometown pride. 💪
Pair it with a bowl of mac & cheese and you've got the perfect fall night out!

🧀 Fun fact Friday! 🧀
Did you know mac & cheese dates back over 600 years? 🤯 Pasta baked with cheese shows up in medieval Italian cookbooks, and an English cookbook from 1390 included a dish called "makerouns."
It made its way to America thanks to Thomas Jefferson, who fell for it in Europe, and James Hemings, the enslaved, French-trained chef who perfected it at Monticello. Jefferson even served "macaroni pie" at a White House dinner in 1802! 🇺🇸
Fast forward to today… and we're pairing this centuries-old classic with ice-cold Moscow mules! 🍹
