Just over a week later and we’re still reflecting on the beauty of our Citywide Gathering.

Leaders, pastors, and business professionals from across Omaha came together with one shared desire: to seek God and believe for the flourishing of our city.

There’s something powerful about unity. About people from different backgrounds and expressions gathering together in prayer, worship, and expectation for what God can do.

Thank you to every person who showed up, leaned in, and prayed boldly. We truly believe these moments matter — and that God is continuing to move in Omaha.

Today, on the National Day of Prayer, we gathered as one city with one focus: seeking God together.

From quiet moments of reflection to bold prayers spoken aloud, worship, repentance, encouragement, and unity… there were so many beautiful expressions of prayer represented in the room today.

We truly believe God is moving in our city through ordinary people who are willing to pray, serve, and say yes to being part of His work. Omaha, may we continue to seek the peace and flourishing of our city together. 🤍

Yesterday was a meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community gathers around a clear need.

At a recent Community and Family Engagement (CAFE) gathering, hosted by a School Champion, a local middle school named a gap in weekend food support for students through the end of the school year. In a short amount of time, people and organizations stepped in with generosity and action.

Because of that shared effort, 211 weekend food bags were packed, fully covering the need through the rest of the school year.

It was simple. Practical. Deeply impactful. This is the heartbeat of Village School Partnerships.

Eighteen volunteers in one room, packing bags that will quietly make their way home in backpacks over the coming weeks.

This is what it looks like when a village forms around a school.

And this is only the beginning.

Last night was truly special. With 300 leaders gathered in the room, we celebrated what God is doing across our city and invested together in the work of city flourishing.

We’re so grateful for every leader, partner, and friend who showed up with generosity and vision for what’s possible when a community comes together for the good of Omaha. 🤍

SESSION THREE IS LIVE: Formed to Lead

In our final session at the 2026 Citywide Summit, Rich Villodas cast a vision for spiritual formation in this generation, reminding us that who we are becoming will always shape how we lead.

He walks through three phases of spiritual formation that have shaped his own life and leadership, and closes with a powerful contrast: the leadership our world applauds versus the way of Jesus.

One is driven by performance and pressure. The other is rooted in humility and dependence on the King who carries the weight.
Before we lead others, we are being formed.

At the 2026 Citywide Summit, Rich Villodas reminded us that differentiated leaders shape healthy cultures. The emotional posture of a leader sets the tone of a room.

In this session, Rich walks through his Personal Reaction Inventory from The Deeply Formed Life, helping us examine what surfaces in us under pressure. Because what’s happening beneath the surface will always influence the people around us.

Headed to the Citywide Summit next week? Here are 5 ways to make the most of the incredible day we have planned for you:

1. Come ready to slow down, listen deeply, and reflect — the Citywide Summit isn’t about cramming in content, it’s about becoming a healthier leader.
2. Engage fully in each session and resist the urge to multitask; what God wants to form in you may be found in the quiet moments.
3. Use the lunch hour intentionally by choosing the space that will most encourage or stretch you — conversation, learning, or connection.
4. Introduce yourself to someone new and lean into relationships beyond your usual circles; some of the most meaningful moments happen between sessions.
5. Leave with one insight, one next step, and one person you can continue the conversation with long after the day ends.

This day is more than sessions and schedules — it’s an opportunity to pause, reflect, connect, and be renewed as a leader. These 5 simple reminders will help you show up fully and make the most of every moment.
